Street Pastors are trained Christian volunteers who patrol the town centre most Saturday nights between 10pm and 2am and on other key dates to offer practical help and reassurance to users of the night time economy.
The team work closely with door staff, taxi drivers, police, South Western Ambulance Service and CCTV operator in responding to incidents where people may have been left vulnerable, isolated, injured or in distress.

It's fantastic for standing up Surfing. There's toilets and parking.
Very similar to Fistral in Newquay. Fistral is a bit dangerous at times.

@@sandpit72 yeah ! It must have been Saunton. Don't get me wrong . I am a Boogie Boarder.
I just wanted to try standing up, and it was particularly good there, I discovered. Gently sloping, but powerful waves. As, I remember it, possibly at mid tide. I only went there once. What a mission, to drive a van there with my big old surfboard !
It was a difficult time, where. I had a girlfriend with a dirty job.
