I have Toyota Corolla 2010. Lost the spare keyfob... will these steps (or similar shown in other YT videos) work to program the new keyfob from Amazon (once it gets cut at Lowes) so the key can start up the car? I've heard conflicting reports that only a locksmith or car dealer can do the programming to start the car and that this trick only works to have the keyfob open the doors.
2010 Toyota Corolla should work. Think you will need one good key that is programed to the vehicle. So as long as you have one, you can talk to the vehicle.
@@tubejim101 Yes, I still have the master key fob and it works fine to push button on keyfob to unlock car door and insert key into ignition and start up the car just fine. I'm about to order from Amazon my keyfob with a dot on the blade (around $20) to try your steps out.
I counted 30 blinks to pair the new key. Great video.

I had to reprogram my original key for some odd reason it deprogrammed after i programmed the two new keys. Strange.

I bought a key off amazon for my 2007 highlander hybrid and i did all of these steps and the new key that i bought all doesnt work what do i do
Your local locksmith can do this for you.
Did I hear you right in the video you have an old key that used to work with the car and that was the one you were reprogramming?
If you reprogram your key, then find an old one that has not been updated, you will need to reprogram the old one, to match the new programing.

My video was for a 2007 Toyota Highlander. I would guess that a 2001 is going to be different.
