My wife was actually watching you spray off the truck , she told me it was strangely satisfying seeing it getting cleaned. Good show Bert you actually got my wife to watch a you tube video. SHOCKED 😎👊🏻
I just came in from trying to compound and wax a 1990 Toyota regular cab manual 2wd. Interesting...I think UA-cam now reads my mind to give me suggested videos.
Hey - Mighty Max needs a Bath - ha - now I am Clean ! Rare Truck - wow ! You are very Happy with the Truck and maybe You can take it for a Drive outside of Your Farm - needs a few things done to it until then ! Great Video again and many Cheers from us in Australia !!!!
I had a mitsubishi montero xls...not the sport but the bigger one that is boxy. That thing was tough as nails. I Drove it every day for about three or four years never had a problem.
I actually bought a couple new mini trucks in the 80s And 90s a 88 Mazda 2200 was 8000.00 or a little less and a 97 iszu pup it was around 10 grand the Datsun and Nissan in the 70s and 1980 was real cheap mid 5 grand for a plain Jane truck no extras period the 77 didn't have a radio even lol
@@ScrapFarm I don't see them often here in the West Texas area, maybe only seen 5 others in these past 3 years. I hear they're still somewhat common in Mexico.
Nice looking truck, awesome that the bed is still in good shape, wrap some duct tape around the broken parts of the grill and it will be fine lol,get another 100k out of it,awesome video man
That brings back memories. Love the Mighty Max trucks. I was 17 in 1987 and got a Mazda B series...B2200 I think. Delivered a lot of pizza in that thing. 😆
I had another one it was my primary scrap truck around 2008 and 9 when the prices were high last time... this one I kept because the truck spent its entire life with an old man cap on the back of it until we got it so the bed as far as rust is in actually really good shape.... definitely got some whiskey Farm dents on it though.
for real... A friend of mine bought his wife an Explorer and they've been having nothing but problems with it.... I just feel as soon as they started putting all this plastic stuff on the engines.... That's when it went down hill... Planned obsolescence they know exactly what they're doing.
i left Ct 15 years ago but even here in South Carolina they use brine on the bridges if there is a chance of ice when we get a cold rain or a flurry @@ScrapFarm
I had a white 87 mighty max as my first truck. Dealer installed a.c. . 6 k out the door. Put 225k miles on it before I gave to my brother who drove it 4 more years.
I'm near positive my neighbor had one of these growing up, I remember it was Poop Brown and it was the extended cab, I was born 85 and I remember seeing it, when I was about three or four, so I'm thinking it was an 85. All I can really remember about the truck, it was always broke down, even new and it was completely rotted out by the early 90s. But I'm in Ontario Canada.
Years ago (early 80s) I had a Datsun 520 series pickup. Purchased it and put a new floor in the cab. Then remounted the cab. It had a 1100CC engine. Maximum speed was 60mph with a tail wind. Fill the gas tank and drive it to work and home and the family on weekends for 3 weeks. I could start it with a hand crank. Won a few bets with that.
When I finished with my old Datsun I left it sitting behind the shop out on Dads farm , people would come and ask me if they could get some parts off of it and I would tell them , if you can convince the yellow jacket wasps living in it to let you have some . It sat there for many years the yellow jackets were still living in it . Can’t remember what became of it .👍🇨🇦
That unfortunately was the fate for a lot of these trucks... I still know where there's a bullet side datsun is sittin. It's completely gone and the bed is full of old carpet...
@@ScrapFarm I’ve got three small pickups , two 95 Rangers . The body’s are rust free but mechanically the are finished . The 95 S-10 is a perfect truck engine , trany , brakes , wiring , lighting , all perfect . The engine only has 35 thousand miles on it , I put new snow tires on it . But it is so rusty , body and frame I just can’t drive it anymore . Too bad I liked driving it , but I’m holding on to it maybe someone could use the engine , or maybe it’s a farm only truck . Not much good as a firewood truck can’t handle a big load 👍🇨🇦
I've been a GM mini truck guy. I've drove Rangers for work but never impressed with them. I've had the old square body S10s and then the last body style. Started with pickups and went to Blazers. I have a 99 LT Blazer now as daily driver with 168K on it. If I have a need to haul I have a 5'X10' trailer that is rated for load capacity of 3200lbs. I haul home heating pellets home by the skid. Go's and doses what ever I ask of it.
@@chrisurschel6832 Towing is what the guy I bought it from used the Ranger for . It’s probably why the truck was so worn out . Here in the mountains you need a bigger mashine for towing . Bigger brakes, more power , and most of all heavier drive train 👍🇨🇦
@@ScrapFarm stay well! Super crap channel...great fun watching. (Oh and...We think maybe...just maybe...old computer battery backup things can be turned into battery tenders. Loads of comments on the last video I made but having battery tenders (free tenders) may be of help. Have a super day!
Nice truck but it would be a lot nicer if you would take the time and start attacking that rust now. Start looking for those parts you need and turn that truck into something really nice instead of watching it rust away like you love to do with all the rest of the trucks you've had. Start looking out west for those parts . There are still a bunch of those trucks kicking around here in Nevada. If you would get me a parts list together, I would be happy to look for you,
Yeah well sometimes in life in life there's just way too many projects.... The roof on the buildings is kind of a little bit more important right now... That alone It's still getting lipstick and Band-Aids. I wish we all had more money and more time but on this game board called life we just keep rolling the dice.
@@ScrapFarm Those are your thoughts and I respect them. I look at things a little differently in life that's all. The offer still stands on the parts I'd. be more than happy to do it for you. If your so inclined. Take care and thanks for the videos. You do a good job on them

The Mitsubishi Mighty Max and Dodge D50 are really good looking trucks, my favorite is the regular cab longbed 4x4 version.

not in bad shape for where its from less rust than most of your trucks no salt in your yard i gather
