Just finished installation of upper, lower and skid plate on my 2021 ATAS manual. Very important to leave things loose until it’s all lined up. Line up holes then tighten key anchor points, keeping in mind access to bolts ie tighten before something is in the way like the exhaust. I had to loosen off the lower crash bar anchor bolts on riders left side in order to get the skid plate flush bolt holes lined up. The lower left crash bar is also pretty close to the shift lever, will see how that works out. This video is on a DCT so there is no shifter.
SO? How did it work????? You said, "The lower left crash bar is also pretty close to the shift lever, will see how that works out. This video is on a DCT so there is no shifter."
Bout to start my "tear-down" today. Can't wait to see her all setup. Next step I guess would be the front high fender kit & then some decent flood/fog light for the front bars.
as explained at 14:22, the footpeg has come out 3/16 inch (approx 5mm) and the rear break lever should be moved to align with footpeg and to have more clearance vs the crashbar.... but how to do that?
It doesn't take too much to bend it... You can use some cloth to prevent scratches and grab it with a pair of pliers and give it a small twist, or even leverage something between the brake lever and the bars to bend it out.
No, the Touratech ones seem to be better. Plus, the Touratech team actually gave you a detailed answer on their video (I'm also looking for new bars for my AT), which these guys didn't, so there's that.
ordered a full set two weeks ago on the AltRider website. I never got a confirmation, order number or anything.....I have left several messages and emails, all of them left unanswered....I'm freaking out a little as I have no idea what is going on.. Is it normal for AltRider to not respond to inquaryies? If so, that is very concerning...
Hi Simon, That is not normal, I cant speak on the phone messages, if we were here those should have been answered and I will follow up with CS about that. I did confirm you were sent an email response last week and that your email(s) for some reason got filtered to a spam folder. If you did not see that response email check your spam folder as I know our emails can occasionally get sent to spam.
Installed mine today. Quality stuff. Install not a cake walk, but this video will get you through. Took me 4 hours.
If you're installing upper crash bars and a headlight guard, its recommended to install the headlight guard before you mount the upper crash bars.
Hey @AltRider , are the lower crashbars compatible with the Adventure Sports skidplate on a 22' Model?
Sorry, our crash bars are not compatible with the Honda skid plate - the mounting locations overlap
excell install and commentary.
wish alt had these guards for 24 AT AS
Currently these do not fit the 2024 models. We're in the process of reviewing the design
Can’t wait for mine to ship!

Hi, how much how much does a full set of crash bars weigh ?
The full set is just under 22 lbs total.
I want a set up!!!

That's wonderful! And the High Fender looks great on the Africa Twin.

@@AltRiderLLC thanks. But doing it, don't I risk to break the brake lever?
My Black bars came in and they are sooooo nice!!! Very very high quality!!!!
Fantastic, so happy you like them!
The website states that the Adventure Sports skid plate will not work with these. Can the skid plate be trimmed to fit? What is the interference?
The interference is with the mounting locations of the skid plate and crash bars, unfortunately it cannot be trimmed to fit.
Does this work okay with foot operated gear lever on DCT equipped ones?
Sure does
Are these bars better than the Touratech ones?
Absolutely Yes!
Though in fairness I might be biased... anyone else would like to chime in here?
@@AltRiderLLC I was looking for arguments, reasons why it's better. Can you do that?
