Your right, I've heard from old forms drummers from back in the 90s/00s having hand issues and pain from using alot of wrist and extending there elbows out like bd 97 look how the snares play.

My wrists are shot because I didn't have anyone tell me the dangers...and they went out when I was 19.
Been drumming on a drumset for over 44 year's and any hand speed exercise should be done slowly then you build it up as you have less and less muscle resistance you will be quicker as long as you do thing's properly you won't have carpal tunnel or pain in your hand wrists been building my hand speed for several years and there is a proper way of doing just that...

You ever considered becoming a professional drum instructor? You can work your way up to anywhere from $40 to $100 dollars an hour. You could teach people how to read music. It's a special commodity in a drum teacher. You're good dude you definitely have what it takes...
Yep, I've been doing private lessons for a few months now, but not through any institutions. I'd be down with doing drum clinics, but my ultimate interest is to remain independent and run my own business 🤝
