we trim our Maltese during the summer since she doesn't like getting brushed so I always give her a puppy cut with a slightly longer facial hair than body and it's so much more manageable and adorable than longer hair.
I had a Maltese for twelve years before she passed away. She was a complete diva and loved cuddling. If she didn't want to cuddle though, she'll bite you. She was basically a sass master. She was also my best friend.
MorganAnne143 I have a black Maltese could anyone tell me what breed they ever got mixed with to become black he is Maltese all the way affectionate coat Behavior handsome dog could anyone tell me what he might have been mixed with in the back line somewhere thank
I got a maltese and my husband hated her. She is currently 5 weeks pregnant, today he built a whelping box with a clear see through door so she could still see us. He loves his ‘little girl’ to bits now. The box has soft vinyl flooring and sides. It’s gorgeous. My husband says he’s never met a dog that gives so much love. ❤️. He also wants to keep a puppy.
IF you want an affectionate dog then it's the Maltese. I have had one of the best dogs that was such a companion that any human could ask for. He will NEVER be replaced. I miss you, buddy!
the 73 people that disliked this video must be hate dogs and or anything handicapped. this is a very loyal, affectionate, wonderful breed. a great addition to anyone's family and home.
When my sister bought a dog for my family, i was first a little disappointed when she picked a maltese. But now i absolutely love these dogs. We now have 2...and I swear...they are just the best dogs in the world.
luar48 my young sister also wanted a dog so she adopted a Maltese. I agree, when you first hear about getting a girly white dog you don't expect a smart and fun loving dog. But now I love our Maltese, Winnie, more than anything!
My mama got one when I was in highschool. I loved him to death and he was my homeboy but she spoiled the hell out of him. He even bit me so I had to whoop his ass a couple of times.
I have a maltese who recently turned one. His name is marshmellow, he is adored by everyone! So intelligent, and literally potty trained in a month! Always playful, always happy, and he so loving. Especially because my daughter has autism. I agree with the guy in the video. There is just something so special about a Maltese that's unlike any other dog. Every time I walk him people stop me to share their own maltese stories, or to pet him. He loves children always gets very excited, and he makes a great alert dog. 😊
My Maltese was my whole life; she passed away in 2016 at 19 years of age. I honestly dream of her almost every night since. Please love your Maltese (or any other dog) unconditionally and with all your being. They love you that way.
My family currently owns its second Maltese and they're extremely energetic and friendly dogs. I like that they don't leave hair everywhere nor the traditional dog smell on your hands after petting them.
What made me so emotional the most was how happy and energetic she was despite her disability which reflects the innocence and the pureness of dogs :')
+Marcus Fütö only because the dog only knows how to hop around. even with wheels, the dog is still attempting to lift its front body up and hop with both hind legs to move, instead of taking regular steps.
Marcus Fütö I feel like sometimes you have to just do what’s best for them health wise, just like how I’d love to feed mine steak every night but that’s not the most healthy for them
Ain't that about the biggest heap of shit I've ever read. Dogs remain cute their entire lives. This dog is probably the least cute one I've seen, but if I had one, I'd still love him/her unconditionally, of course.
One of the brightest and gentlest of the toys, the Maltese is exceedingly playful and enjoys clever games of dexterity such as "pull the hidden toy from under the cabinet with your paw."
I had two Maltese toy poodle mixes (maltipoos) growing up. I love those dogs. Maggie was the biggest attention dog I have ever known. Zoe was more independent but she grew to love her cuddles.
Oh my GOSH! this is the best story. I have a maltese, she was born on Christmas Day 9years ago.Hope Noel!!!!! 14 days after I was diagnosised with Stage3C ovarian cancer. I had a 5% chance to live, after 10.5 hours of surgery and a round of chemo.... I had a dream I dreamt of Hope. I was walking her down the street and calling her Hope. When I came home from the hospital My husband got little Hope for me. She was 2.3lbs when we brought her home. What a blessing she has been to us all. PTL
They are the most beautiful , sweet , gentle , playful , is like a toy because they look , but inside are so innocents and such a good heart doggies ever
I have a maltese mix (he's part maltese and part shih tzu). He is black and grey with patches of white on his head. the older he gets the lighter his hair gets. He's a total love bug when it comes to my mom and I, and with my dad and brother he's a rough and tumble boy. Lol We take him everywhere except the store. his name is Zeus btw, and as small as he is he really lives up to that name. :)
Raven. We have one exactly like that. He was 8 wks. old when we got him & just a little, round, black & white ball. He'll be 10 yrs. old next month & is now gray & white, & gets lighter colored every yr. He goes everywhere with us & we take turns shopping & staying with him so he's never alone. There are pictures of him on my FB & Twitter. :)
awww Hope really had me tearing up she is so adorable with a great personality and a huge heart. She doesn't even notice that she's diffident from the other little pups and she's a trooper! YAY HOPE!! :D
We have one & it's all true. Beautiful, smart, loyal, loving & also brave. Our little guy will go up & down steep, open stairs, climb & walk on huge logs, climb big rocks just to see what the world looks like from up there, he's not afraid of anything so I have to watch close & make sure he doesn't get hurt but he's wonderful. Had him for almost 10 yrs. & he means the world to me. He's also very possessive & jealous if I admire another dog. We rescued a white toy poodle but Bailey's so jealous & unhappy about it I'll have to find another home for my little poodle.
Very touching. Have Maltese x shi Tzu - terrific dogs, don't bark unless someone enters the yard etc easy as to house train already from 8 weeks use pee pads effectively and also knew to exit to garden from 12 to 14 weeks. Only thing to watch is matting of hair, need to brush regularly and clip around face, paws and bottom especially.
The way Hope looks at his/her? human reminds me so much of the most affectionate and intelligent dog I've ever had. I grew up with a lot of dogs who we all loved equally but that one Pomeranian made a very special place in my heart. It's been 3 years since our 8-year old Pom passed away but I'm still sad. That look that Hope has on his/her? face made me smile. Thanks.
I dog sat the neighbors' maltese for a week while the family was away, and he was the cutest, curly haired little thing! Very even tempered too. He was so sweet, and now I want one. :)
Maltese are such great dogs. My family has two, my older one at 12 and the other one almost 2. Both of them are just adorable, yet their personalities are very different. I love my dogs so much.
so lucky! I have one too. Just remember not to baby him too much, let him meet lots of friendly big and small dogs, will help a lot in the future with having a kind dog that doesn't bark a lot
These are the bet dogs ever. My maltese Chloe is 12 years old and still has the playful spirit. I'd recommend malteses for anyone. They really don't bark that much either! Just when they're trying to be big and bad to protect the family.
I have a maltie and yes we keep him in puppy cut in summer, for comfort, but let him grow out in winter. We have long winters in Canada so it does take some pretty serious grooming. Also it's true about their teeth, I didn't know when we got him and just cost me a grand to have his teeth cleaned etc. We are now brushing daily!
My baby is mixed with a Bichon and is the sweetest little boy. I think there's an automatic assumption that maltese type dogs are females since everyone always says she's so cute to MoMo.
Maltese are the best dogs ever. I miss mine everyday. In a few months it will be a year since his untimely passing. I am still filled with deep sadness. See my tribute to my beloved little guy who filled my heart and life with sunshine. "Remembering Scamper"
Maltese are the best. My maltese rarely barks, and he was super easy to housebreak. Within 2-4 days he had fitted in to his bedroom and training him to urinate/poop outside was easy, just put the puppy pads by your front door and then slowly start to put them outside and just remember to put your dog in the garden as soon as you can and supervise them, and whenever they wee/poop, just reward them a great deal! It didn't take long at all for me. X
Maltese are the best dogs in the world. They are remarkably clever and dependable, and if you train them properly from the beginning, they can be a great lap dog and be able to play independently. I LOVE my Maltese, Sophie :D
Fantastic devise, I had a thought, watching it; that perhaps it could benefit from independent suspension on the wheels? It might give the dog more turning ability and remove the problem of grass and pebbles?
This is a really great clip. What a champion Hope is. We have a born blind Maltese named Josie. She has been a revelation in our lives. At birth the vet also wanted to put her down but she was taken home and has become a little celebrity at coffee shops and markets. See video clips under Stuart Gates for more on Josie alternativly search on Josie finds her way home, Josie goes for coffee or Josie shares her Christmas bone.
Hope's story is so inspiring. She is such a cute dog. I wasn't very sure about Maltese before, but now I adore them. This would be the kind of dog I want. A dog that would just love me unconditionally is something I want. Plus, they're hypoallergenic. I love dogs, but I'm sadly allergic to them. So with Maltese, I would be one of the happiest people in the world.
I have a Maltese and I agree with all what the video says, they easily suffer from dental disease and when they are too pampered they become too needy, as it became with out case. I still love him though and I hope he lives more years as I don't know what me and my family would do without him.
I have a Maltese. Her name is heaven. She is loving, caring and beautiful. She is great with people who have allergies and she does not have fur, she has hair. Which is also great for people who have allergies. Their good to keep by ur side 24/7. They may seem small but trust me, they protect. My dog barks at strangers who come closer to me. Maltese can be shy. Mine is. The only flaw about them is, they lick you ALOTTTT
thanks for uploading this!! i have a maltese and shes my world but i failed to not pamper her as much in my part and so she rebels and throws a fit when shes alone in the house -,- doesnt mean i love her less though.
The Maltese is the angel of dogs. I had a 6yr male Maltese. I dropped one day of a brain tumor and Zachary knew something was wrong cause he would put his head on my arm on the side that had the brain tumor, ge knew. I lived but when I got out of the hospital a month later he was gone . They said he died of a broken heart. I would do anything to have him back . The hard part him from a lical CT breeder for $475.00. Cant fibd that anymore. So lice your baby everyday
I don't like long haired Maltese, but the short cut style is so so cute!!! I've always wanted one!
we trim our Maltese during the summer since she doesn't like getting brushed so I always give her a puppy cut with a slightly longer facial hair than body and it's so much more manageable and adorable than longer hair.
Foxymutt 123 i really agree!!!!!!!
You are absolutely right! My REX ( maltese. Short cut style!) is superb ,I adore him ....pg
I had a Maltese for twelve years before she passed away. She was a complete diva and loved cuddling. If she didn't want to cuddle though, she'll bite you. She was basically a sass master. She was also my best friend.
My dog also when he does not like a cuddle from me he bites my mouth 😅 and he does bark on girl dogs

Albert Easley I have a Maltese and I love him so much :3
I don't understand why they'd dislike it! If they don't like dogs or the breed don't click on the video!
Albert Easley you mean 124 people now
When my sister bought a dog for my family, i was first a little disappointed when she picked a maltese. But now i absolutely love these dogs. We now have 2...and I swear...they are just the best dogs in the world.

same, I wanted a black dog or a husky but my mom got a Maltese and I was a little disappointed at first but now I love her
profile picture checks out
My mama got one when I was in highschool.
What made me so emotional the most was how happy and energetic she was despite her disability which reflects the innocence and the pureness of dogs :')
think she looked more happy without those wheels...
+Marcus Fütö only because the dog only knows how to hop around. even with wheels, the dog is still attempting to lift its front body up and hop with both hind legs to move, instead of taking regular steps.
Marcus Fütö I feel like sometimes you have to just do what’s best for them health wise, just like how I’d love to feed mine steak every night but that’s not the most healthy for them
But I completely agree with you
my little girl is a Maltese and she is just about eight and she is mellowing with age and learning much faster now she's just adorable
My mom has a Maltese. He is so loving, precious, and well behaved. Love that guy.
I love them I have had 7 myself , all my relatives love them to ! They are very loving dogs.
I just wanted to see an informational video on Maltese, I wasn't prepared for my heart to break.
Maltese are probably the cutest dogs facially, for me. They even stay cute into adulthood whereas most other dog breeds dont.
Eccentricka1 I agree I have one and her name is Lola my friend has one too and they both meow end LIKE A CAT it's crazy
Excuse me all dogs are cute and good dogs take that back you heathen
Mike S you're probably more ugly and nasty than any dog I've ever seen. And I don't even gotta see you to know that

Hope is so sweet and so beautiful. I'm glad she found a family who recognized her spirit and made her a part of their home.
aka everyone's grandma's dog
Lol so true
Camila Gisselle Actually, my grandma has a Rottweiler.
+Sandwichscoot Your grandma is one tough woman then.
Camila Gisselle I love my Maltese and I am 12
Camila: PresidentMooo yes I cured because my grandmother and dog passed but I'm trying to keep good vibes
A dog like this would be a great comfort for veterans and elderly people.
I have a maltese and its the best! He is very playful! That dog is full of energy.
One of the brightest and gentlest of the toys, the Maltese is exceedingly playful and enjoys clever games of dexterity such as "pull the hidden toy from under the cabinet with your paw."
Instead of wheels, they should be rubber soft balls, that can move circular, it would be easier for the dog
+Angela N the amount of friction that would cause would be a lot compared to wheels
who would dislike this video? it almost made me cry =_=
Hope made me cry!
Peachy Mimi
You fuckin' serious? Really? Life is gonna be hard for such a sheltered idiot as you.
I had two Maltese toy poodle mixes (maltipoos) growing up. I love those dogs. Maggie was the biggest attention dog I have ever known. Zoe was more independent but she grew to love her cuddles.

I'm a MotherF*cking T.Rex
SHE'S A UNICORN
aisha ramic mean? We are happy for her. This is not sad but a happy thing to see. She's given another chance.
I think Maltese puppies are just about the cutest puppies ever!
The way Hope looks at his/her? human reminds me so much of the most affectionate and intelligent dog I've ever had. My Maltese is a bad ass, I've had him for nine years. Never had a problem with him. Maltese form a very close connection with there master.
Bravo! She is a sweet soul with a loving spirit!
Hope is ADORABLE! I just want to hug her
I dog sat the neighbors' maltese for a week while the family was away, and he was the cutest, curly haired little thing! Very even tempered too. He was so sweet, and now I want one. :)
I have this dog and he's literally a cat. He licks his paws a lot and sleeps soo much. He doesn't really do anything really active but yea lmao
Maltese are such great dogs. My family has two, my older one at 12 and the other one almost 2. Both of them are just adorable, yet their personalities are very different. I love my dogs so much.
My maltese is 11 years old and still plays like the first day, It was so easy to train him since day 1! he is really the best companion, friend.
so lucky! I have one too. Just remember not to baby him too much, let him meet lots of friendly big and small dogs, will help a lot in the future with having a kind dog that doesn't bark a lot
The dog in the intro was my dog. Her name was Paris Hilton. She passed away in 2020
Love my 9 yr old Maltese girl! I brush her teeth several times a week.
Malteses are really special, so sweet and affectionate! I have 4 ... ;)

I have a maltese. She is a little diva and loves going on walks :)

These are the bet dogs ever. My maltese Chloe is 12 years old and still has the playful spirit. I'd recommend malteses for anyone. They really don't bark that much either! Just when they're trying to be big and bad to protect the family.

I just rescued a little Maltese girl. She is a great little dog. She is just a bit unsure of my two Great Danes, though.
My baby is mixed with a Bichon and is the sweetest little boy. I think there's an automatic assumption that maltese type dogs are females since everyone always says she's so cute to MoMo.
OMG! This video made me cry! Happy and sad tears. Love u Hope!!!!!!!! 😘❤️
I have a maltese dog and they are really affectionate and loving like whenever im down he will always try his best to cheer me up:)

I'd be lost without my Maltese! Best companion anyone could ask for!
Maltese are the best. My maltese rarely barks, and he was super easy to housebreak.
Just bought one today ! Super happy with my choice. I have been wanting this breed for sometime now.
I have a maltese and she´s beautiful, friendly and really intelligent, so this is definitely a bred I recommend!
This is a really great clip. What a champion Hope is. We have a born blind Maltese named Josie. She has been a revelation in our lives. See video clips under Stuart Gates for more on Josie alternativly search on Josie finds her way home, Josie goes for coffee or Josie shares her Christmas bone.
I love my Maltese, her name is Lila and she is beautiful. She is my combat Dodo.
We 💗 our Maltese!! That long silky hair is awesome but, not for a family friendly Maltese!
TBH The maltese has to be the best lapdog!
i LOOOOOOOVE seeing dog owners like Hope's mom - awesome! GO HOPE!
I have a Maltese and I agree with all what the video says, they easily suffer from dental disease and when they are too pampered they become too needy, as it became with out case. I still love him though and I hope he lives more years as I don't know what me and my family would do without him.
I'm getting a Maltese puppy from a friend pretty soon. So excited
