      Well, it's now 2024 and the movie has come and gone with sutel hints but I can tell you there will Never be another Elvis Presley and there will Never be Music performed like he once performed it! That's a Fact and it's very unfortunate because the pure shit that's played on the radio today like Rap and Hip Hop is not even considered music to those who actually play the real deal! Our World has lost touch with so many wonderful things and Music is one of those things and it shall Never return as it once was and I do mean Never! So Bye, Bye Ms. American Pie!

    I'm glad DJ Fontana is sharing his stories . I love hearing all of those live albums that they made . Singing , talking , and laughing and joking around at times . I don't know of any other band that did that . I could listen to them over and over . I haven't never read the books either . Not yet anyway . Thanks for sharing this video .

    So in his first shows the body shaking Elvis audience of older folk was quite. But they went home and told their kids and a few weeks later, all hell broke loose.....

    I just seen Fontanas drumb tops and sticks autographed down in Shreveport I had a fun tour today at the municiple Auditorium where the fame began. Also there is a clip of elvis talking to the sweet inspirations about it. Elvis was sincere and understanding. I think he should have a statue down here to

    I always thought D.J. Fontana had sex appeal. There's just something about him lol And his southern accent is nice too. Such a nice & good looking southern gentleman & especially in his days. But he still had it as an older guy.

    • @katgirlblue
      @katgirlblue 6 років тому +4

      LightMyFire Well it's obvious that English is not his language, so that probably has a lot to do with it, but also he doesn't really listen and then respond. He asks a question and immediately starts looking at his notes for the next question, instead of listening. Fortunately DJ was such a down to earth guy and responded from the heart anyway. What a gentleman he was, always so positive, and only good things to say.

      I have noticed that the Northern European and Scandinavian interviewers/talk show hosts are mostly really bad. I was just listening last night to Joan Baez being interviewed on a Finnish talk show and the interviewer was horrible. I've seen interviews by Scandinavians with Dylan and Rod Stewart, and same thing.

    D.J. Fontana led this interview to where he gave it legitimacy, the interviewer asked questions straight out of a fan magazine- really low caliber and click bait-

      I was the person who was asked to do this interview. You are right. I had to ask the questions from a paper, the fanclub had given to me. I was the first and the last time I did an interview with questions on paper.
      But I had a great time with DJ. I picked him up at the airport in Brussels and we had a great day. We met eachother also a several times in Memphis. R.I.P. and thanks for the memories.

      @@JeroenNoppen Thanks for your response!
      You were in the company of a great talent and someone who could impart his personal and musical history with a legend-
      We’re you ever lucky enough to interview a member of Elvis’s family ? Thanks again, I feel honored that you made contact 👍🏻❗️

      @@MsBonijoni In the 90's I visited Memphis / Graceland about two times in a year. I met all kind of persons; Priscilla Presley, Lisa Marie Presley, Joe Esposito (I arranged and hosted him during his trip to the Netherlands with Patsy Anderson,), Marian Cocke, Sam Thompson, George Klein, Bill E. Burk, Scotty Moore, etc..., etc... Beautiful memories. I came often to Graceland, because I organised tours to Memphis. Great time.
