This is already the most brutal yet lore accurate rebel playthrough i've seen for anything ever.
Btw the white planets should be taken at every opportunity. They won’t ever invade back, so you were given bad information from whoever said not to attack them. They will just fight on the ground with generally weak units. Take as many as you can before the Empire takes them
Some tips for you: keep an eye on the map. You should focus on special locations that are starred, like Taris had a merc outpost on it. Also, look out for anti air. Rogue Squadron members don’t come back, even if Antilles survives. Look at your map for turrets, or just watch their health like a hawk. You can’t risk losing them. Lastly, TAKE THE WHITE PLANETS. They’ll never invade you back, you need the land and resources.
Space defense is not worth it, focus mostly on baiting imperial fleets into attacking "defenseless " planets, leave small detachments on orbit to keep away invading armies, but don't fight their fleets, be reactionary with the fleets, once they attack a planet, prepare to counterattack with a bigger fleet.
Imperials always send fleets with overwhelming firepower, but, if the defense is not that powerful, they will send a small detachment, like those single SDs, take them out 1 by 1. If you are lucky, there may be an army on its way to invade the planet, and you can take it out in space once they arrive.
Tanks are better to avoid casualties.
Pro tip: Curuscant and Aargu are usually the planet's the AI prefers to put its early game eco on. They can make over 2k credits from either, so of you gather support on both, you get 2k income. (50% of the planet's combined total income if you get both)

i suggest moving all non stealth troops from falucia to yavin while also bunkering down on yavin with defence stations and bombers and fighters as a main defence
use the steallth units to attack Murkhana ;Jomark ;Salucami and Rhen var

Don't send your Snow speeders in when they are landing troops, the shuttles have powerful cannons are its those that are killing them.
When you were explaining how you like to play RTS games, were every unit counts and whatnot. I really think you will enjoy the Terminator Dark Fate - Defiance RTS. Because literally every unit matters, and as units gain experience they can have more perks. Plus it can be realistic as well.
As for this campaign, can you use bombing runs. Because if so, you could put a Y-wing squadron with your stealth force as they are also stealth and they could turn the tide of a battle, especially if faced with a more overwhelming force. As for a name of your squad might I recommend "The Nameless"
This really is making me wanna run a age of rebellion campaign or SW5e
Some suggestions i have are to secure the space around Sullust and Dac, aiming for planets such as Thyferra, Rhen Var and Jomark should allow you to keep your eggs in more baskets and maybe even do research on some, as well as building up your supply bases and light factories.
Retaking Taris as a major staging ground could be a good way to enter the core from the north, as imperial defenses should be somewhat lighter going in from the north. (Only having to deal with Corulag and Anaxes as opposed to roughly 90% of the core if you approach from the south)
This got me back into playing EAW, so thank you! I didn't realize how crazy the modding scene had gotten, and it seems that since the last update that was put out it only got even crazier!

Love these episodes, but hope things go well for you with the grind recently, of course don't feel you have to rush these out for us, etc etc. That said, I'm just loving this series. It's a major testament to Awakening of the Rebellion that some relatively minor tweaks can really deliver that authentic Rebel feel. Complete with having to run and hide from the Empire.

You should try and take Kamino and hold it because Kamino lets you build troops for cheap and I think you can get level 2 troops for super cheap so you can build a ground army for cheap.

If you're looking for a name for that stealth-focused ground force, you could go with something like Mirage or Phantom. I like to think about how names would sound over the radio while communicating tactical information.
So if, for instance, it's Mirage Company, the leader of the first platoon calling for air support would sound something like:
"Mirage One to Rogue Squadron. Repeat, Mirage One to Rogue Squadron. Requesting immediate air support three hundred meters east of my current position, grid position seven five zero mark three one. Be advised, risk of friendly fire: Mirage Two is positioned 100 meters south of the target and is engaging from a ruined building. How copy? Over."

I recommend that on each conquered planet you must have soldiers, tanks and defenses to protect the planet and also the ships of the rebel alliance from the series and movies such as cr90, mc80, mc75, nebulo frigates B wing, A wing, B wing, U wing, Y wing, X wing
You might want to use the envoy you have stationed at the 900 credit planet Ession.
For the sullustean tech, I think you need to take eriadu and sullustean give you the tech, or a thing like that.
