Kenders 5mm tungsten jigs. All pink glow white pearl with pink glow chartreuse glow and fire tiger. And kenders has these new little mini lipless cranks that slay perch as well
Hello, can you tell me what plastics those were? The white ones you found and the little blue ones. Also what jig head was that on the little blue ones ?
I honestly wish I could. Those I had got in some trial bags in the mail. The best I've been able to find is the micro plastics from 13 fishing. They work great too! They don't have that three ball body that I like but they do have that perfect tail.
Tip: listen to old time country music while fishing. All songs have a different rythm. Match it with your jigging strokes. Keeps changing. Fish like that. Without he music, you can get stuck in a rut.
No prob man lol I’ll get you out one day lol We actually changed our minds. I’m gonna take the new rig down to the Niagara bar and river and see what bites the new designs ;)
I just do not have many hours on the ice. I think about nothing but fishing. I don't get out as much as I wish. guess im more of a wisherman. someone gave me that jig and I went with a few friends and I was the only one who cought a few.
Looks like a cool lure! like a mini meegs or nose down. Don't worry no matter how much you fish, you always feel like you never get enough time. I hope you get out a bit more this year!
Naw, I mean it def helps make it easier but a good pair of gloves or hand warmers in the pocket can help too. I have a reusable set of warmers by expressheattherapy that I cycle through the day. I set them off then keep them in my chest pockets.
I know this post is old but the answer may help someone else. I think the best way to keep your hands warm is to keep the rest of your body warm. This means proper clothing with a proper fit. You essentially have surplus heat to flow to your depleted hands. When my hands are so cold I have lost dexterity, I have a large, fleece-lined mitten with a rubber exterior. The rubber traps that heat flow that I’m losing thru my hands and it’s big enough to allow me to ball my fist. It brings almost instant relief to the ache but they are so clumsy you can’t do anything but watch tip ups.
Absolutely. Here's a snippet from the regs: In Ontario, it is illegal to do the following: Use artificial lights to attract fish except when fishing for rainbow smelt, lake whitefish or lake herring (cisco) using a dip net or if the light is part of a lure attached to a line used in angling.
Those are SUPER good lures but I've only ever used them once or twice. The pink and silver is for sure a go to color! Good choices! Do you think the walleye talker works better than the smaller Perch Talker?
You mean the little minnow one? I wish I knew. It was a local bait company that I cant remember and havent seen for a while. Rocky Madasens sounds familiar... any idea where I can still get em?
@@OrilliaFishing send me an email at JigsAndSpoons@outlook.com i can send some pics, 6 colour variations and 2 sizes, i have a small stock on the web site but can order lots more. i can pass the whole sale price on
Guess it depends on how many you're feeding or for how long you want to have food for. I'm happy as long as the limits are kept in and if you're taking into account current fish population.
Good video. It’s always good to see someone else’s list, especially when it differs from your own.
Agreed! I enjoy seeing what other people use to and trying new things! I've added the z-viber to that list cause of it
The Hali Jig is another go to for perch!
I'll have to look that one up!
I’m glad we have some of the same favourite lures, it means I’m not crazy!
Ooooorrr... we're both crazy.
Yesterday managed to hook a 14 inch tanker on your number one.
Awesome! Those northlands always do good things for me!

I've not used Kenders before, I'll have to check em out!
Maniac baits gizzy bug, maniac 1" cut r bug, the perch talker, buckshot spoon with a wax worm, the perch talker is amazing though always my go to

Thnx for the tip ( Northland forage minnow spoon ). I'll definately get some. BUT, which size did you buy ? They come in 4 sizes.
I BELIEVE it's the 1/8 oz

That's an interesting idea AND a great way to get more people to listen to country music 😉
Great top 5 list. Thank you
No problem! Do ya have any baits that do well for ya?
Great. Video buddy. Wanna come musky fishing / trolling Sunday on GB?
thanks man! OMG I SO want to come! I'm on call this weekend though :( Remember me if you go out another day? You takin' the new boat?

Niagara?! Dude!!! Thatll be awesome!!
I have a wacky worm pan fish size and a super small jig do you think it would work for perch I mean I think they will
I'd give anything a go! Perch are curious and usually aggressive!
@@OrilliaFishing i will try and ive caught almost every pan fish with it
i still like the genz worm. but can not find it any more
The waggy tail is the magic
lol absolutely lol
Minnows on a tip up always works
Absolutely! Live bait catches them almost every time!
Best line size for Forage minnow ?
I'm a 6lb test guy and I always go flouro :)
I used the glo spoon last year caught 1 perch super small last year
So not a fan? They were hyped up pretty big last year. Got one that you smash em on?
The lindy walleye talker smashes monster perch walleye and pike so far for me needs a minnow head
Nice. I think I'm gonna have to set a few aside and try em this year
great stuff. thanks. much appreciated
Anytime man. Do you have a favorite that you use?
@@OrilliaFishing I guess I would go with a Lindy micro slick jig

Are lures with lights legal in Ontario?

Tail hook hands down
Where is the lindy walleye talker red or pink. With a minnow head
Those are SUPER good lures but I've only ever used them once or twice. The pink and silver is for sure a go to color! Good choices! Do you think the walleye talker works better than the smaller Perch Talker?
What size forage minnow?
I believe it was the 1/8th.
@@OrilliaFishing 🤘
You should come to europe for perch!!
I would absolutely LOVE to! The perch over there don't look quite as bright but they're massive and the orange is way more prominent!
@@OrilliaFishing Yeah they are pretty big, my pb is almost 4lb
@@antonfager8998 that is one big perch!
that looks like one of rocky madasens winter white v tails
I'm not familiar with that one. Does it catch a lot for ya?

I find it funny the guys who think they need more then what they could hold in one hand on the ice.

Surprised not to hear a mention of the Lunkerhunt Magic Bean, I've gotten some solid perch on them 👌
oh yeah? I've not used them. They look cool - I'll add 'em to the list of things to try!
