Hello again my friend.
That's the type of Copper if I were you I'd be melting and making castings from.
That way instead of $45 of scrap you could have a couple hundred in castings.
As always I enjoyed stopping by.
it's a matter of making the time to do castings, or getting things processed. after shipping and ebay fees I don't think that I make much profit from the castings, I do get some copper with plastic stuck to it that will work well to cast
Happy new year and all the blessings from Romania, EU
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Thank you, I learned from this and it's a cleaner process than I thought!
notice the pan that I have for the oil to drain into. I used to use a 55 gallon drum to catch the oil. this is much easier to work with
That's awesome 15 pounds of copper and all the short steel and even some shred and the couch jockey has no clue what shred is it's the lowest paid ferris metal thanks for sharing this six stars brother
lol. yeah, we get all kinds here, teach as we go
Very hardwork work today great video hope u have a happy new year
Awesome video nice copper wire thanks for sharing and happy new year
Thank you
You're welcome
Our local landfill announced last yr they will no longer take vacuums or plastic dishwashers. So the local scrap yards I deal with told me as long as I fill it up with some metal they'll take them. They take vacuums as shred because it has a steel motor in it. Every yard is different. This year January 1st local yards announced they will no longer accept catlitic converters from walk in customers at all. Unless your a commercial company that buys converters there won't accept them. Due to the high theft rate around here. I sell all mine to a core buyer so I don't have to worry about it #happyscrapping
that is a good way to do it, acr's are impossible to sell here, if you don't have a hvac license. do to people stealing window ac units, so I take my acr's to Kansas when I get a truck load
Good video Alan I enjoyed this video
Thank you Scott
Well it's the New Year, so Happy New Year and may the New Year bring you lots of blessings and happiness. That's not a bad couple of hours of work. Stay safe and see you on the next video.
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
??? Did those compressors have oil in them, if so do you use it for heating
Thank you Sir for your time. I hope you have a good day
I have a waste oil burner that I built, and use it to melt cast aluminum items that I can't get all the steal off of, then I remelt it into ingots and sell them on eBay
Happy New Year
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Awesome video my friend! Happy New Year!!
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Happy New Year Okie. I found that if there is an aluminum coil where the compressor comes from. It will have aluminum wire in the compressor. So for it's been consistent. I like doing compressors. No waste . I hope this helps you ✌️
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Happy holidays to you and yours .
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
When u can or if u can could u do 1 of the big compressors from the central air units outdoor units I get alot of them and been debating if I should cut em open
the red one I did came from a central unit, think it had 5 lbs. of copper in it
Awesome video. Happy New Year.
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Happy New years Okie can't wait to see all the adventures you're going to go on in 2024
yeah, never know where we will end up
thanks man
you are welcome
What size air tank is a good size gallons to use for the air chisel
any size is good, I started out with a small compressor with a 1 gallon tank, spent a lot of time waiting for it to build up pressure. the cfm's matter more than tank size. when buying a compressor look to see what air tools it will run
Happy new year okie scrapper ,glad to hear your wife is doing better. Hope the new year treats you super good, hi from nm, nm scrapper
thank you, you have a Happy New Year too
Why don’t you use your plasma cutter instead of a your grinder to open up the hermetic case?
I agree, i use my plasma to cut open the ones i get.
because they tend to get too hot inside and melt the plastic to the copper
I'd be worried about an oil fire.
@@richardmccann4815 in the amount of time it takes to use the plasma, I doubt you would raise the oil’s temperature to its flash point.
I was wondering if you dont have to cut all the way around and could leave a hinge, and bend the case over to open it? Just thinking.
metal is fairly thick, the disks are just over 50 cents each.
Any reason you don't use the plasma cutter to open those? Great video!
$$$ I’m sure you can understand it’s just $$$
Yes, But he has one :-) @@dirtfarmer7472
the units tend to get so hot that the plastic sleeves melt to the copper, and the scrap yard wants to pay insulated copper price for it.
Ok, good to know :-) @@Okiescrapper
Tjst thing uou cut thr loops will cit those strings really quick and forbet that knife
?
Thankfully my wife has insurance because the surgery and hospital stay this time is gonna be over $250,000, maybe closer to $300,000.
I got assaulted , and had my scull crushed . The surgery and the month I spent in the hospital was totally free , as I’m a senior citizen my medical insurance cost me nothing . 👍🇨🇦
