- I started to inspect the new ZX14 twin project I got. the bike is actually a Concours 1400, very similar to ZX14 motor with a few exceptions. I bought this project bike for $500 thinking it was a steal, come to find out there was a major issue that I completely overlooked when purchasing. The bike actually had a damaged engine casing from the impact during the wreck. I repaired the damage inspected the motor, did a valve adjustment, replaced the plugs, reseal a couple things, Installed it back into the bike then in this video I did all the maintenance to get it ridable like bleeding clutch and front brake system. I made a big mistake and that was not bleeding the rear brake system because it ending up locking up and damaging my rear rotor!

Engine sounds healthy, nice work
It definitely is! Especially for the mileage
WD-40 Corrosion and a red scotch brite pad will make the headers look like new.
It warped the rotor because it was very hot where the pads/caliper touched the rotor. It insulated one spot from cooling at the same rate as the rest of it. It being clamped hard in that spot made that situation much worse.
Sounds amazing!
It sounds good and looks good already! Cant wait to see the style you go with as the final look.
I could not figure it out what motorcycle actually it is.
Thanks man it’s ganna be a beast!
Good
I thought the twin was for the engine, good job getting it going.
Absolutely not, this is going to be a custom build!
Sounded awesome! Can't wait for the next video
Love your channel bro! Especially the CBR 600 stuff! Where'd you learn your wrenching skills?
UA-cam and just by trial and error
The rear brake caliper on motorcycles are single acting, they only push from one side of the caliper, there is a pin that lets it slide so it can squeeze equally. I’d check that pin I’m willing to bet it’s crusty and locked up. Would explain why it’s bent like that.
Some bikes are, but this bike is not. It is a dual piston. The caliber itself is hard mounted with no sliding pins.
Morning
great vids

Metal pipe has no beval to hold rubber pipe may blow off
How do brakes lock up like that I’m very uneducated on that
i would guess the return hole in the master is clogged up, so with the heat the fluid expand and only create more pressure
Can be a couple different reasons I’ve had them lock up before because low on fluid, I’m hoping this one locked up because old fluid/may be a blockage or one of the pistons were seized up causing it to push from one side only.
