I’m used to editing on my MacBook Air with 8gb ram and the most I use is 3 layers so I think this one will be just fine for me.

It does not render/export 7 layers. Just the top one. For testing you may need to do some compositing with those layers.

it's Apple M3 chip with 8 core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 10 core GPU and 16 core Neural Engine
Ram is 16GB unified memory and it's 2TB SSD storage, hope this helps!
