DON’T DELETE THIS VIDEO! This is a great beginner’s guide to basic color correcting. I’m amazed at how much better your clip looks after just a few tweaks. Thanks for another very helpful tutorial.
Serge, I am now 71 years old and have been doing videos in FCPX since 2011. I tried to learn color correction through several UA-cam videos that always made me confused and intimidated. I have resorted to adding colour presets [mostly the 'warm preset' to my video clips and exporting my projects. This video of yours has been a real eye opener. I have made a detailed account of your tutorial and am sure that when I start adding clip based colour correction to my clips, the quality of my videos will SURGE upwards, thanks to you SERGE.
Serge! I so appreciate you shouting out the FCP Color Grading Masterclass and I'm stoked you're loving it. It really means a lot, brotha 🙏🏼 I'll add to the awesome information you gave by mentioning that a good reference of how much saturation to add to skin tones is when the saturation is about 10 to 40% of the skin tone line if you connect the yellow and red hue quadrants. You smashed this tutorial as you always do and once again, thanks for the love ❤
Honestly the best video for quick color correction.
Don't delete this one, Serge, no matter what you learn. This is one of the best, clearest guides to color workflow for FCP. Thanks!
same here :) - simple and easy -
Thank you Serge!!!
Your video is NOT CRAP !!!! Excellent instruction for us NOOBs...!!!!
wish i could upvote this 100 times. so helpful and simple.
always so helpful! Thank you! 🙏
Thank you for the tut. I think this works great with log or profesionally lit footage, but not so much with "beginner" footage shot on an iPhone or GoPro. I tried it and got the graphs to look perfect, but the resulting video was yellow/green and gross. Skin tones were solid thogh. Tbf this is mostly likely a skill issue on my part but other beginners may run into the same issues.
Great tutorial as always!
Incredible!
Thank you so much for this video!
Please don't delete. This is very helpful and I might need to search this again in the future 😆
No 💩here @Serge1913, only the usual top notch quality! 💪
Coming from Photoshop and Premier Pro, I muddled through FCPX, pining for the levels curves that Premier Pro had. Thanks for giving me a workflow that will help a lot!
Incredible video, thank you again for making this.
Great video
Nice job of making this simple to follow!
This is... amazing. Obviously you can go WAY deeper, but nothing is as simple and clear as this video.
great vid bud, thanks for going to the effort, simple and concise
This Video deserves more views…
Thank you for a very simplified and easy to understand video. 🙏
Thanks Serge.
Thank you for the best FCP colour correction video that I have seen. Saved to favourites!
You are the man! I struggle in color correction for everything and this video will def help. Thank you
Good to see you bacl Serge! Another great tutorial and I have been using your advice on using the curves for S-log correction with great results!
Cheers Gregg.
Serge thanks, not crap, not by a mile, not even close. Excellent video and I learned a ton of new things
A lot of great information that is easy to understand in only a 5-minute video! Thanks!
Super helpful. Thank you so much for this Serge. You got a new sub :)
Thank you for this! I watched so many videos, trying to figure out what basic color correction I could do to help my footage. And this is spot on. Thank you!
Great video! For saturation amount you can use the Vectorscope 😊
Amazing video 😊
Great simple but highly informative video. I am editing my video now and I always struggle somewhat with color editing. Your video was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you!b🤗
Hey, you are the best :-) thanks :-)
Hey Serge great video as usual, loved the text effect at the beginning where all the letters appeared one by one to create the words behind you, can you share what plugin that was or name of effect ? Thanks
Wow, great video, thanks! I'm surprised though that there isn't some sort of color picker tool that you can use instead of cropping.
One question, can you save the effects used as a colour preset?
👌👍
You should always White balance first.
Just curious as to which color profile are you recording in?
