tax liability depends on if you become tax resident. In Indonesia, you are tax resident if you stay in the country more than 6 months in a year. What visa you have doesn't matter.
@@tuomaskiv Got it, was hoping an incentive for the DN visa was a tax waiver of some kind so long as income sources were from outside of Indonesia. Thanks for the clarification!

Godbless you from Indonesian 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Dude! When they say “you cannot work in the country” that does not mean remote work. It means, you cannot work in Indonesia for an Indonesian firm.
what's your source?
Thanks for the Video! Do you have experience for how often the digital Visa with border jumps will work? I plan to stay there for about 5 months
I have no idea, I would just get a visa that allows you to stay for 5 months, the border jumps will be more expensive anyway
@tuomaskiv thank you for your reply, Yeah you are probably right!
Can you have a discussion on Taxation for Malaysian Digital Nomad
Thanks for info, if i own sg company to collect dividend from usa/uk, will indonesia tax in case of digital nomad?
If you are tax resident in Indonesia, they will tax you on worldwide income
@@tuomaskiv Thank you!
Cant you bribe them at the immigration at the airport anymore ?
It's not worth risking prison because you can't afford $30
@tuomaskiv they aren't obviously corupt there anymore 🤣
If I were to sign up for the digital nomad visa and stay for 1 year, would that still make me liable for taxes or are those visa holders exempt?

Just not worth the effort to stay long term. Might as well go to Thailand,Cambodia or Philipnes fort hat purpose.
