IRONHORSE, your ideas, theories and craftsmanship are are influential. You can give a rookie confidence with the way you explain things and demonstrate your knowledge. I followed all of your 272 series to build my 268. I can't be happier! As a young guy it's nice to have someone like you who's as generous as you are with their knowledge. Take it easy and take care!
To lower the weight of your piston, work on making your crank pin lighter, that's how the dolmar 6400 7300 7900 all use the same crank, piston diameter is the only difference between these three saws, and your cylinder fun looks like me trying to put a 038 magnum cylinder on a 038 special, thanks for the video and the stories
I just wanted to say think you for sharing your expertise here with us. Regardless of any badmouthers pissing up the fencepost the fact that you share so many tips and tricks to allow us to weed through and select what we like, is truly a gift. Thanks Man!
Hello IRONHORSE, May Gad Bless and protect you and your loving family:) Bless you for sharing your live and words of wisdom with us:)🙏🙏🙏💖💖💖 The world must realize the amazing amount of educational information that you have on your channel, Bless you for that:)
Good to see you Uncle Harvey, PA stumpjumper got a farmertech and has made a couple videos about it. He shouted you out , I hope to see you guys team up soon.
Harv any of your content is good content! You shouldn't ever second guess yourself as to whether or not we would like seeing something you are doing or not! Keep it coming, I will watch!
Thank you so much for all your informational videos sir. Just from watching your videos ive been able to learn so much. In my down time ive been trying to teach myself porting. Your video on tranfer timing number per cc class made a lot of details click for me. I always love watching your new builds.
Great work iron horse, I love what you said about picky gum flappers yes I agree some people need to realise its a hobby as you say and as I always say, it's just a chainsaw, fun porting, and hi from UK nice work iron horse.
Absolutely loving this deep end of the pool series Sir ! Even if us hobby builders at home do not attempt a build like this the emphasis on crank stresses and other theory mentioned will certainly drive home the importance of the little extras you have been showing on the simpler bolt on-ish builds ! Great to see the inter channel cooperation with Dyno Joe also 💪🏿❤️❤️
Wonder if a 3D printed jug would last 🤔seems perfect for builders cuz you can have the exact size ports , and everything . And match to any bottom end you want
Hey there Harv. I actually wanted to a 54mm bore and i bought the stuff to do it long ago. The. All the sudden here you are doing it. My problem is i cant find the piston like the 661s pin height in 54mm .
Been watching and learning for you for about a year now. First time messenger. I would wondering if you have ever worked on a ms880 and posability know timing numbers with and with out gasket and possable results from said numbers
Harvey is there going to be issues with ring life cus your going from a nikasil plated cylinder to a iron sleave , i know sertain rings dont like iron cylinders so is the cabor ring going to work, or the stock ring ??
Does anyone know if you can get meteor or highway pistons for Stihl 041 or am I just s.o.l? Is it one of them saws once it's blown it's scrap because you can't find parts anymore
On the 86cc build with 661 piston. Instead of cutting .080 off the top of the piston maybe cut .050 off the squish band and .030 off the top of the piston. Maybe that would help so the top ring groove is not weak.
Hey harv names Bryan I live in Ohio not far from the saw fest I was wondering if I bring the top cover to my n.o.s red switch 044 magnum if you would autograph it for a fella Iam gonna try and get buckin to do the same if I can I wish I tin man was coming but he just had the baby and such so a fella understands that for sure thanks for your time harv Thanks Bryan w. Aka byerboys
@@theironhorse6600 you may not like it. It's like a 372 that got everything wrong. At least the 1138 chassis is. I would rather take on 5 044 saws than one 441
Why is it that people need to give you a hard time for doing things your way if it works who care johns custom saws says he gets shit all the time he knows what he’s doing why so much bashing?
seems to be two kinds of people that do this. You got the ones who like to teach and like to learn.. and then you got the type whose mom didn't smack em enough when they treated other people like crap.

Yes it can!

theres some on ebay from other brands, even genuine Stihl, but no hyway or meteor
Hey bud long time since we spoke. Hope all is well with you.
Hey ironhorse I was thinking about putting a 394 top end on a 288 what's ur thoughts
This is all very interesting stuff. But, if you want to get a 94cc 372 why not just buy a 394??
Oke, piston bisa di ubah, tapi bagai mana dengan ukuran pin nya
Is that shirt available in your merch store?😂

"Or you could do what i did on" Then the video cuts off. Made me laugh Harvey.
Hello everyone
Thank you.
I've got an 046
My idea of a big saw is 64cc
After cutting firewood all day I agree with you!
394/5 transfers don’t look like that,
Guessing it’s a 390 cylinder due to modern transfer design.
Did you forget to tell us why you would use Seal All on the cylinder????
