Thank you! I’m not running Long Beach this weekend….will be running the Manhattan Beach 10K on Saturday instead. Good luck to you if you’re running it on Sunday!
Ms. Nguyen, your half marathon is for a Boston Qualifier, yes? I'm a little confused because you did a half. Would you explain what I'm missing? Thank you.
I was using this race as part of my training for a Boston Qualifier. I plan on running the Revel Big Bear Marathon as a qualifier attempt, so this half marathon was more of a practice run or a long run workout.
The second half of the CIM course is a gentle downhill, especially the last 10K. However the first half of the course has a lot of rolling hills, so you have to be careful with not burning out your legs early. The last two times I ran CIM, I went out too fast in the first half and didn’t get to appreciate the downhill section.
Thank you 😊 it was a good race with good weather.
Yes, it was good weather indeed. Just cool enough for a race!
Thanks for sharing! I'll be doing the Big bear marathon too!
Thanks for watching! Good luck at Big Bear…can’t believe it’s coming up quickly!
I was there and saw that fall :( glad you are ok!
Thank you! That was a scary moment there but I was glad I was able to finish the race!
Hi Tina, congrats on completing your redemption race!
Will you be running the LB half marathon this weekend?

Congrats Tina. I am considering to run this race to get a BQ and its close proximity to San Francisco.
Good luck with your BQ journey! The full marathon seemed popular.

Almost seems like CIM would be a better race for you, it's a shallower down hill.
