I will never understand the YT game, they don't like to promote just good honest content, they prefer the younger and drama circles, I don't know about 50K haha but we should have more views and subs than we have in my opinion, but its all good. Thanks again Chris
Greetings JR and Mrs C shame about the cloudy day, you earned that lunch after the walk, think I’ve heard of Okinawa for surfers, shame about the earthquake in Taiwan, take it easy✌🏿🥰
Nice walk and talk video, Thing that jumps out at me is how few pedestrians are around, perhaps most people are at work though. Food prices are certainly low and sure wish I could get my hands on one of those old Jeeps ! I will definitely look for one when I move to the P.I. ! Thanks for the video JR and take care !
Nice I know you are looking forward to it. We get back home very early on the 9th , then counting down days to Thailand haha@@thaigirlgiftforeignerjoe7774
Loved the walk and view. I surprised we in America never grasped the vending machine popularity. I especially surprised since we such a fast pace society. Enjoy Oki. No Orion yet? Sure seems to have gotten way way more crowded. I left 2008.
Wish they would have those cute little cars when I was there.....I had a Datsun Bluebird sort of big bought it used....when I left it was a rust bucket on 4 wheels....lol. The retired American guy I bought it from took it off my hands when I left......I guess he picked it up I left it at the Mac Terminal when I left with the keys....paperwork was in his name. I lived the first year out the SAC gate down by the seawall terrible house but was affordable back then. cheers :)
I had a Mazda Luce our first tour there, huge car for there. 2nd tour I had a Toyota Hilux Sur (4runner0 Then got a Landcruiser which I then brought to England when we PCS'd there
@@FOCUSonASIA13 My wife was stationed at Mildenhall as an instructor we lived in Thetford for almost a year then moved in base housing at Lakenheath then got screwed and came back to the states about 2 yrs there.....too much damn moving. lol :)
Okinawa and even some other parts of Japan not expensive at all, especially with the exchange rate right now. If you go to Tokyo then that is probably different. We are finding Korea to be much more for meals than Japan
Nice video JR!! I enjoy the walk and talk videos. So when we were stationed on Okinawa we lived out the Navy side of Kadena. I checked google maps and couldn’t remember the exact location of our house but the rental office I still remembered - Kadena Circle Housing and it’s still there. Take care
Nice Bob I worked on what we call the Navy side as well, where the old P3s where, our unit had a hangar next door. SO I assume you either lived out gate 5 I think it was, no longer used i believe, it was between Gate 1 and gate 3 if you where going around the perimeter or what was gate 5 . Never understood the numbering as gate 4 was way on other side. Maybe 5 got added at a later date than the other 4.
I worked in CE. We stayed off base above Lyumibanta St which ran along Hija River. It was a great duty station and easy to catch a MAC flight to the Philippines. Take care
So you were right near the circle then and close to what we called Devils Cove, we used to scuba dive right at the point the Hija flowed into the ocean@@bobanderson9021
You got out of Taiwan right in time, have you heard from you friend yet ? hope all is well with him. I got a lot of interesting info by translating all of the signs along your route, . . . except for the one printed on the road, I was feeling like a native until I realized I could have been KILLED ! Thanks for the video. ⛑
Thanks John, yes, sent him a message as soon as I heard, he was a little shaken, said things were falling a bit in their apartment, but they are all good. Think he is in a high rise, so that probably wasn't fun
Hi JR and Cecilia! Nice meeting you guys at Meikos. We were at Kadena Air Force Base last month before we flew back to Virginia from CRK. I miss that killer pool at Meikos. Hope to see you guys again at Meikos soon. Stay safe! -Edgar and Jeanie👍🙏
@@FOCUSonASIA13 Jeanie’s Navy dad was stationed in Okinawa but she didn’t really remember much of it because she was only six then so going back there when we did with her mom and my first time visit, we really enjoyed it especially all the places we went to and of course, the delicious food.😁 Our son will be in Kadena until 2027, so we’ll definitely will be visiting them again. They love it there.
Don't tell anyone but I am seeing what kind of jobs available there to get me back there for at least a few years, we will see haha Might even consider retirement there if I can find an easy way@@edgarcruz7365

I had a few Orion but not on camera I think haha Surprisingly not available on draft in restaurants as much as other Japanese beers on the island.
