  • GAME CHANGER! Join me today for my very first episode with my new ABI attachments tr3 tractor rake as I take you through the setup process and initial adjustment, which is VERY important in order to use the tr3 rake properly and to minimize possible damage to the tr3 and to get the proper grading potential for the specific design of the excellent tractor grading implement!
    BACKGROUND
I have been using the SR3 skid steer version of this abi attachments implement for several years. This tr3 is basically the tractor version as opposed to the skid steer sr3 version. While this abi attachments tr3 rake is designed for ease of use and so that anyone can successfully grade dirt, or stone, or gravel easily, there is a very specific way that it has to be used. Today I'll cover how to make that initial setup and adjustment and show you some of my very first passes with the tr3 rake. And even though anyone can use it, and there is a very short learning curve, there are also a few different ways that it can be used as it has multiple different grading and leveling functions.

The SR3 was one of my favorite implements to see in operation.

Unless there's not enough adjustments on the hydraulic top link it should be plenty strong enough as many farmers are using them with 5and 6 bottom reversible ploughs 💪💪👍

So you are saying the hydraulic top link should be fine to leave on? I plan to do that after I get the 2nd and 3rd scv's, but who knows how long that will be. But this rake is awesome!

I would say the hydraulic top link be fine unless it's a cheap Chinese copy 👍

@@kapperoutdoors not sure if this is to late but I use my TR3 with a Hydraulic Toplink and never had a problem although I have a 24ho tractor and run out of traction way quicker than you ever will. And yes I have a cheap Amazon hydraulic top link. The crap they sell at AGRI Supply was a waste of time and money. The seals leaked past on the piston after about 3 months

Do you feel like it does a better job maintaining a gravel driveway compared to box scraper? Curious if the extra setup was worth it.

oh yes, 10x better than the ol' box blade. And it can be used as a box blade as well, you can lock the spring loaded scrapers in there so it turns into a box blade. But as far as cutting to the bottom of washouts and grading, it is magnificent for sure.

I have the SR3 to maintain several miles of trails, driveways, etc. I didn’t know they had a tractor version (TR3) when I bought my SR3. Going backwards through winding trails is getting old. A couple of questions. How much did your TR3 cost? How many hydraulic connections do you need? I’ve got a Kubota L4701 that currently doesn’t have rear remotes but am thinking of adding them. I love the SR3 but driving backwards (even with a camera) is getting old.

Man you are a spot on that was the one thing I didn't like about the skid steer version. I love the tractor version! It just needs one set of scvs but I also have a hydraulic top link which is really handy with this unit. Best of luck

@@kapperoutdoorsThanks to you, I ordered the TR3 and it’s going to be delivered tomorrow. I may have my SR3 sold for what the TR3 cost me. My only relative I didn’t order the hydraulic rippers as I don’t have rear remotes on my Kubota L4701. Thanks again for the great videos. So far you’ve cost me almost $20,000 in new attachments for my mini ex and my tractor. 😂
