I love how Dooku is so close in his analysis yet so far as the very being taking part in orchestrating all of this (behind the scenes) is sitting right in front of him.
It just goes to show how well these authors understood George Lucas' story, not only of their love for the source material but infomation provided by George Lucas himself.
Same!!! And I still find juicy little bits everytime I listen to to oy. Information that makes complete sense adds more texture to the book and the overall story.
“9 years old…conceived by the Force…is it possible?” Yeah, Palpy. What, you thought the Force was just gonna roll over for you and Plagueis? The energy that drives life and death in the universe? As much as I love the Sith, their presumption they could just dominate the Force, the spiritual energy dictating reality, is outright stupid lmao What also annoys me is they could’ve quit while they were ahead. Not the Sith Grand Plan, but they got so drunk on power, they forgot their perfectly solid plan to begin with. To create the Empire, destroy the Jedi Order, and Plagueis making himself immortal. All perfectly achievable, especially with Plagueis’ experiments working as they were. They didn’t have to tell the Force to go fuck itself. They were asking for it. Especially Plagueis, who was just “No bro, I wanna make life too” like STOP WHILE YOU’RE AHEAD. And of course Palpatine working to screw over Plagueis eventually, destabilizing the partnership for his own greed and want for power. Like you guys had such a great thing going for you. All it would’ve taken was to NOT PROVOKE THE FORCE and KEEP THINGS SIMPLE. But like most every other Sith, they got drunk on power and forgot wtf they were originally doing. Idiots. Extremely smart, but idiots all the same.
They were going to send Anakin back to Tatooine. Someone would have made him a slave again. His mother wasn't because she probably had ordinary talents so if she wants to be free and marry fine. Anakin is a mechanic and just won a podrace. The hutts would never leave him alone.
In Legends I could see Sidious keeping Dooku around had Anakin not been around all the way to the empire only deciding to replace Dooku when Galen Merek shows up or if Dooku dies to natural causes while Maul would serve as there main enforcer better then Ventress And Grievous yeah.

This was hands down the best Star Wars audio book. Daniel Davis Knocked it out of park with his narration.
I need him to narrate more Star Wars book tbh
Books like these are why the prequels are so good, this one scene explains the Naboo blockad, the midichlorians, and the prophecy so well!

The conversations between Dooku & Palpatine are some of my favorites from
This book
I have listened to this audiobook at least 150 times not even joking

I listen to these all the time, there's so much tiny details and juicy bits

It is unfortunate. The Sith are self destructive by nature.
@@lazzledazzle7827 The only ones I can think of who kept their shit together was Darth Marr and Vowrawn, but they were way more honorable by nature.
Well said !!
The biggest issue the Sith had was the heir overconfidence
Wrong
@@Scottadamsfan3481 correct him
I love listening to this
Even though the dooku from tales of the jedi doesn't align fully with the continuity with this book, these conversations really feel authentic
Book so good you can make a video out of every part of it and it’s always good
3:23 Sidious is a decepticon?!

Perfectly summarized
Probably the greatest voice acting of all time
Listen to this book multiple times over the years I learned a lot from plagueis as if he was my master 😂
