As someone who is 30 I would buy one I am thinking about it actually. I do like the aesthetic I have an F250 and a GLE350 and something for my wife and I to just drive around up the coast on the weekends and have that classic look.

You have to remember the 02-05 T-Birds were made as "Retro's" to the 55, 56,and 57 Birds that is one reason everything is small, as it is a luxury Sports Car.
This is sleak and sexy. It drives and handles exceedingly well. It reminds me of the Jag without all the parts problems. Very good suspension. Smooth and quick.... she will get you out of trouble quick if need be. Mileage isn't' fabulous and takes premium petrol but it is so nice to drive and def. gets attention. Mine is a 2003 with Michelin's. Great car. Not for racing at Englishtown, but it is still pretty sweet.
Great review! Really cool car! I'm born in 1967, always loved cars from the fifties and this one just fits me! I also like the Chevy SSR! and of course the BMW Z8! So, yes, I love those modern retro cars!
2005 t’bird 9300 total built. All are 50th Anniversary but cashmere was limited to 1500 units.
Smoking is still allowed in the car. Every gas station sells them. 😂
I bought one of these in 2005 the Anniversary Edition 280 HP. It was OK but not a tire smoker. My car was medium Steel Blue with matching Hardtop and Black soft top. It was sharp for the time.
Ford didn’t want something to compete with the Mustang. They could have slapped a super charger on that 3.9 and it would of definitely been a tire smoker. Personally I would swap it out with a Coyote 302 but not sure how much work that would be or how well the transmission would hold up. But stock ones are going for under 20k with low miles.
All 2005 T-Birds were 50th Anniversary, however only 1500 were the Cashmere edition and would have that plaque in the glove box.

I bought mine in June, a 2004 merlot w/white sand, just getting used to it, runs fine enough.

I disagree that the retro T-Bird "is not for the younger generation." I have them approach and compliment my black 2002 all the time. Especially the ladies...

Of course, the 1955 thunderbird did not have the porthole, that was introduced in 1956.

This is not the rarest 2005 Thunderbird. It's in 3rd place as the most produced, after Torch Red and Evening Black. The most rare 2005 is Inca Gold at 82.
just like any other volture seller ,,, you could have washed it look at the chrome all dirty etc

The interior is just too cheap looking for the price. The instrument and switch gear sadly just don't say what Thunderbird said in the sixties.
I prefer a more modern dash myself.

What part of a 1955 repli-car don't you understand? As the owner of a 2004 Pacific Coast Roadster your review seems to be almost clueless about the nature of what Ford intended this car to be. And NO, I'm not as old as you stated at least three times that you were 33 at the time you made this sorely lacking review.
