Great tutorial. Seems like the press is pretty awesome. Great choice of you don't want a convection oven. Thank you very much Angie!!

I recently got a tumbler press and love it so far! But I’m still watching every video I can find, and really appreciate yours!! Very clear and helpful - thanks!
@@deborahknapp5524 great question - I can’t answer because I’ve actually forgotten. I went back and looked at some videos I made about it, and I wouldn’t even list the company name because their customer service was awful. However, I did end up getting a much smaller one recently that I really like, it’s called a Hitprex.
I love you showcasing this. I love my PYD Life tumbler press for 2up mugs and the tumblers!
I purchased a variation of this tumbler press in April and I absolutely love it! Ir is super easy to set and it does a fantastic job of sublimating. Now if it would just anticipate user errors before the occur! Thank you for all your awesome videos.
I just got mine today and it worked great however the settings are a bit confusing but I'm just as happy 😁. I been watching your videos nonstop and enjoy every one!
How has yours held up after 3 months of use? Thinking of getting one, but the reviews on Amazon aren't that great for it.
This was a very helpful video, thank you!!
Supperbb 👏 i have been watching your videos for quite some time and I am taken away by your efforts. Thanks a lot dear
I have the same tumbler press and love it. Less spending or no spending extra on shrink wrap.
No matter what I do I still get ghosting. Shrink wrap tape around the cup ect. Still ghosting ugh. Will this press help with that?
Omg! I’m so glad I found you! I’m new to all of this. You are a lifesaver!!! Btw I subbed! 🙏🏽❤️😊
Love your videos. Very thorough and love the technical details you provide. I just purchased a similar mug press from Heat Press Nation. It comes with different attachments for various size mugs and tumblers. There is even an attachment for a shot glass.
Great Videos! you cover all the details thank you!
Angie thank you so much for the review.
Thank you for your video, I have a different press than the ones in the video but this really helped me out. I did realize I didn't have any parchment paper & had to use copy paper but my first cup came out great!
Finally got my hands on the PYD Life tumbler Press from your link. They had 2 versions so I chose the V3 which is the updated version of the one you showcased in this video. I couldn't be happier and it printer a sublimation mug perfectly the first time out following all of your directions. Now onto tumblers. Thank you so much for this video and for encouraging us to try this. I had already sent another brand back to the supplier as I had wasted so many blanks so I am a very happy PYD Life customer!!
I have that same press but have had a terrible time with my edges! the middle presses great but the edges come out uneven. did you have this issue?
@@lauracooper4877 I have not had any heating issues with 2 mugs at a time or my tumblers. I do make a half turn after pressing and then press again with the tumblers just like Angie did on her video. They all come put perfectly. Sorry you are having issues. Very frustrating as I had to return another tumbler press from another company because of this kind of issue.
@@lauracooper4877 Yes me too !!! Can't afford too ruin any more tumblers. Have you figured it out yet ? Thank You
@@lisayoung3737 not yet unfortunately, but I also haven't had time to really play with it. I'm really only having issues with the 30 Oz, which are longer. Recently i read in the pyd life manual that due to how the heating element is inside, the last 1/2 inch or so on left and right (can't remember the exact measurement) doesn't get as hot, so I figure I probably need to do more rotations and press each end longer. Hope that makes sense!
Thank you, very informative!
This was amazing and very comprehebsive youre awesome angie tha k you
Thank you for your video's. I wish I could find the tumbler press here in Australia.
Cool now I want one 🤩
great video
Great video. Thanks for all the tips.
My Next machine yes
I´ve been looking for that or a similar tumbler press here in Germany but unfortunately it´s impossible to get one with (at least within the EU) about the size of the described one on the video. Therefore I ordered as an alternativ machine the VEVOR 6800 from GB (which isn´t EU either) with is completely closed and can sublimate tumblers up to 28 cm (11") height and almost 10 cm in diameter (almost 4 inch). The only disadvantage I realized so far is the fact that You cannot sublimate any cans oder tumblers or mugs with any plastic parts attached, ´cause it goes completely into the machine with all parts heated up to the desired temperature.
First off, I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!! Question: Can you ADD an image to a tumbler/mug that you had already sublimated?
Do you have a video for a tumbler press vs the double door oven by Oster. Also have you ever use the water method to cool the tumbler down a little.
I have a video comparing the mug press to an oven: ua-cam.com/video/sgH7HzWRi7c/v-deo.html and I don't cool my tumblers at all.
Do you know how to calibrate the big press
What tumblers would work well with the Cricut mug press? I just ordered mine and would love to make some as gifts!!
Am I the only one who finds the settings panel complicated and confusing? Also, the fact that there’s no beep or indicating sound that the time has elapsed sends warning bells (ironic, huh?) that over processing is going to happen. I’m not sure what that would do to your project but it doesn’t fill me with confidence that I would be successful 🥺. I’m also concerned that a manual adjustment is necessary for different sized mugs or tumblers. I’m thinking this press is much too complex for me (a very occasional crafter) therefore, I think I’ll stick with the Cricut mug press. Thank you for the demo of the tumbler press. It was very informative and you saved me some money. Again, thank you.
Definitely all things to consider! Which is why I mentioned each of them!
@@AngieHolden And everything that you mentioned was much appreciated, especially for the reasons that the other person mentioned. Everyone is def different and what is complicated for some, might not be for others. I did not see any of if being complexed, but I def would want an alarm when it is done, because as a mom, we can get busy or distracted very easily :). Thank you for a wonderful description.
Angie,
Do you know what each of the letters mean in the settings? Are they supposed to be set on anything specific? Or do we only need to use the cTr choice?
I just purchased this tumbler press. I have one I purchased in China and it came with 0 directions, and can not get it to work. 🙏 This one will work for me too. I will let you know how it goes.❤️ Thank you so much for your videos I believe I will soon be able to do successfully because of your guidance.
Great video! I'm barely starting looking into doing this as a business. Quick question: what printer do you use to print these prints for sublimation? I need all the help I can get! TIA
I have a converted Epson EcoTank as well as an Epson F170. I have videos on both of them.
Hi Angie, how is this tumbler press still working for you? How does it hold the heat and have you had any issues at all with it? Thank you! ❤️
Love the video , I went through it a few times . When I get to the end to set temp it goes to 5P. The out does not light up. Do you have any idea what I may of done wrong. Machine just in today.
Hi. I am new with tumblerpress and never used before. Can you let me know do we Need sublimation printer and print on sublimation paper everytime. If yes, is there a cheaper option
When I was reading the manual it says 400/60 seconds but I notice you did 360/50 seconds and twice. Did you lower to compensate not burning so you can turn it?
I always get my time and temperature from the sublimation blank. The manual just gives you a general idea for all tumblers but to be more specific you will want to check on your blank.
hi, I just ordered this machine I get it tomorrow. Have you ever used a laser engraver you should try one out you are very creative I am sure you would make cool things with it.
Hi, PYD Life has 2 different mug presses. The one you're demonstrating is the V2.0. There's also a V3.0. Is there a difference besides the price? Thank you
They did send me some information and it looks like they did change some things but I have not used the other one.
Do you have a video on the designing sublimation image? I’m struggling in that area.
Try this: ua-cam.com/video/TGalh6abV1w/v-deo.html&lc=UgzCe-b4XFuoF143T614AaABAg
I just purchased my tumbler press and when I press my tumbler. The first 2 tumblers I had to much pressure and I bent the tumblers LOL! I wish I would of saw this video before. Very informative! The paper also stuck to the tumbler and I had to use water to wash it off. I press at 365 for 70 seconds. I have the HPNation signature tumbler press that is there recommendations for pressing tumblers. Can you please tell me why my Paper is sticking and pulling off the white sublimation off the cup. HELP I want to be successful craft! 🤦♀😭😭😭
I would try adjusting the pressure. You may have too much and pushing the paper in.
I was wondering if i take the cricut???
The pyd press is sold out :(
Can u recommend a similar one?
Thank you for this video!! I definitely want one!!
Do you need to do anything to the tumblers after your done? Like coat them with anything or are they just good to go after pressing, and ok to wash and not destroy the project. New and watching videos before I start.
Does the PYD Press cause a smell? Because I watched another video where another crafter stated that with the convectional oven, it gave off a chemical smell and the Cricut press does not. She used a different press and when she pressed it smelled a little. Did you have any problems with it giving off a chemical odor?
All sublimation gives off some odor. The convection oven is a bit worse as the smell is basically trapped until you open the door. The Cricut press as well as this one gives off some odor during the process. I recommend opening a window in your craft area.
Question. We are using the same pyd press. 350-50-50 and keep getting a pinkish result on all of our tumblers. Some have said either to hot or to long. Using A-sub ink and paper.
350 is probably not hot enough. Check with the instructions for the tumbler you bought.
Can you do a tutorial on how to mirror and resizing the prints to fit different items?TIA
Thank you so much for your video. I have an Elite Tumbler Heat Press, but I think it would be the same. Can we use Cricut Infusible Ink Transfer Sheet? My first items will be the skinny 12 oz wine tumblers.
are you going to show doing the other size tumblers like the 30oz?
It would be the same procedure for each different size. You can do many sizes in this press so I definitely cannot show them all.
Hi! Do you think I can do sublimation on the new glass can 12 Ana’s 16 oz?
Angie is there a reason that you need to rotate? If the press fits all the way around the tumbler.
It SORT OF fits all the way around. There is a small gap at the top. I feel like rotating is safe to make sure you get a good print.
I recently started working with the tumbler press and am having issues with the top&bottom not being as dark as the rest of the cup.. I’ve tried adjusting the pressure and it’s still doing it. I’ve been doing 360/ 50 seconds and then turn and do another 50. Any ideas?
It would be great to get this in Ireland!! Can you find out if they deliver to Ireland or can I still buy from the US use an adapter plug!
Could you please leave us your contact email or phone number?
We can provide you the
Europe Plug,and send you directly.
@@pydlifeamazon1121 can you tell me your email as I can’t put it on here👍🏻
I would definitely contact them as they should be able to take care of you!
Do you recommend the PYD tumbler press? I'm deciding between this one and the Heat Press Nation tumbler press. Are you still using the PYD press?
Any tips on wrapping cafe mugs. The have a weird curve/shape. Like latte mug
What brand is your tape dispenser? I’m having trouble finding one that fits my heat tape.
Hi Angie, can you use infusible ink from cricut for this Tumbler and Mugs press machine even though it says sublimation?
I really like this tumbler press I am in Canada and on Amazon its not available can you recommend how and were to purchase one?
Hi Angie, just received my Ecotank printer after 2 years of watching your videos!!! Now I'm looking for a mug/tumbler press. Can you recommend a good one that won't break my bank?? I'm wanting to start a small business but moving very slow, I want to make one time purchases and not panic.
Your videos have given me the courage to take the leap!! TIA for any help you can offer.
I’m looking into buying a tumbler/mug heat press and have been looking at reviews however I was going to buy this one but they are currently unavailable 😭 any suggestions on the next best tumbler/mug heat press??
I only have this one and the Cricut Mug Press so I don't have other advice.
Can you do this with a regular HP printer? Or do I have to use that specific paper for it?
Great tutorial!
Where can I get the glow in the dark ghost paper please? I don’t see a link for it.
Can this press be adjusted to cone shaped (wider on the top, skinnier on the bottom) mugs and tumblers?
Is it correct to say that if you want to sublimate on tapered or rounded drinkware you must use an oven?
There are some tumbler presses that come with coils for tapered items but they would be very specific. I find it easier to just do that type of thing in my oven and not try to buy more accessories for the press.
I have this heat press…can you use the glass tumbler/cans in this heat press?
Yes you can! I am reviewing another one too....using the glass tumblers! It will be up soon!
What program do you use to get the correct size to print? I'm having trouble doing it on design space
Hi since I have a tumbler press would it be ok to use shrink wrap so I know the image is snug to the tumbler
Angie i hope you are well! question for a sub business what you will like better this machine or convection oven?
For a business, a press is definitely easier and quicker. However, the oven will do a wider variety of shapes and sizes.
Do you leave the access at the top without taping it? The sublimation paper itself I mean.
So Im still using an oven until my press arrives. Im hoping you can answer this question. My tumblers all come out beautiful except on the seam. I always have fading along it. I cant for the life of me figure out why. Any suggestions?
My guess would be you need more tape down that area as it isn't tight enough. Are you using shrink wrap around them?
Do you prefer the tumbler press, mug press or convection oven? I am trying to decide if buying a sublimation oven is better than the mu r tumbler press.
Hi ..
I order these one
Do you think I made a good choice
I want to do the tumblers
Mugs and glass
My tumblers are showing tape lines using this press. (Never had them when I used an oven) Any thoughts?? I've tried tightening the press and loosening it without improvement.
I have NEVER had this issue and have had many people say the same thing. The only thing I can guess is the brand of tumbler and the coating applied.
Angie, HELP!!! I’m having a terrible time sublimating tumblers. I started slow with an EP printer, A-sub paper, Hippoo ink & an oven & had some success. I ordered a case of tumblers from Craft Haven & the results weren’t as good in the oven. I want to do this regularly so I invested in a tumbler press. I’m using the same printer, ink & paper, wrapping the tumblers as tightly as I can & the results are horrible. Craft Haven recommended 360-375 for 60 seconds & I have the pressure set pretty tightly. I’ve tried varying temps within the range that they suggested, but the print on the dark blue logos I’m doing come out looking like someone took sandpaper to them. I’m running out of tumblers AND patience, & my friend really needs these tumblers. What should I do?
I think I emailed you as well. I would check with Craft Haven and see if there is an issue with the tumbler.
hi I know I asked before about heat temp the lady I bought my tumblers from said she does 315 another lady asked told me 400 I did the 400 came out a little too speckled but good so I see you do 356 what blanks company do you use I know you said the temp goes by the blank manufacturer please help sorry to be a pain also I like how in your vid you don't wrap the top just tape for security awesome
How do you not get a missing space/white line around the rim and bottom with a press?
For the rim, I run it all the way up and leave some extra. The bottom is trickier. I like to find a place to stop it so yes there it a white line there. If you don't want that, then you would extend the print and tape down really well.
What do all of the red abbreviations mean on the display ?
I did not look up what each of those changed! I was just worried about temp settings!
Angie,
My time/seconds won't count down when I shut my press, can you help me figure out how to make it count down? I can't figure out how to change it to "out"...
Thanks so much,
Jamie
I am having trouble with the edges of my tumblers. I don't care how tight I wrap and tape the tops and bottoms of mine, they aren't coming out good and solid, they always have spots where the ink didn't take. do you have any suggestions on how I can fix this? I'm getting ready to throw my press out the window!
I actually like to raise my print up a little so the very bottom doesn't get any ink. Then I get a straight line.
I know this is an old thread, but did you ever get it figured out? I'm having the same issue.
Can you add permanent vinyl to a sublimation tumbler even though is says tumbler for sublimation?
I need help. I have the pyd tumbler press. It worked perfect for my first mug. The second one was fine on the top half and the black was faded and brown on the bottom half. The third one was all faded brown instead of being black. I’ve tried many variations and they are still coming out faded. I’m using the recommended settings of 120 seconds at 356. I tried more time. And then I tried less heat at 300. Still the same results. Any idea?
Sounds like maybe uneven heating or uneven pressure. The brown sounds like maybe you are burning it.
does it matter if you using a different heat press? or they are the same temp?
Generally the same but you may have to experiment. An oven would be different.
hello Angie I am trying to find a tumbler press that has a 1.5 oz shot glass attachment does this perss have that? or do you know of one that you can recommend
PYD Life makes several on their own website that are not on Amazon. Those have other attachments that I don't have for this one.
What is butcher paper and where can I purchase it from ? I'm first timer with trying to do cups. Need all the help I can get
Where or how to get the ghost glow in the dark? What product did you get to glow in the dark paper?
The sublimation tumbler itself was a glow in the dark tumbler. I just pressed the ghost image to it.
After spending a collective 20 something hours searching for a 30 oz mug press you have FINALLY sealed my decision!!! TY for the great tutorial and supply list. hopefully I will be as successful as you were :)
