    I have always used the Leonardt Principal for years and I have never had the scratching sound from it. Is that bad?

      They changed it a few years ago because they had a lot of complaints which said it was too flexible. They created a new version of it that was much stiffer. I'm not sure that things have changed since I protested but the newer ones I've recently bought are a bit more flexible.

      @@ConnieChencalligraphy Hi Connie. I can now see what you were referring to with the Leonard principal. I dug out one of my old nibs (I don't like the throw them away so I can inspect the wear they have over time), and the newer ones that I have are just so, and forgive me for saying this, beginner friendly that I cannot use them as I adored their flexibility. The Gillott 303 is my absolute go to nib now and I adore using it. I swear if they change that, I will have some major words! (Or start making my own, whichever is easier).
