This presentation introduces the Costplan.ai platform, an Innovate UK funded project developed by Leeds Beckett University and the The Property Box Group Ltd which uses generative Ai to improve cost management. The Costplan.ai platform allows users to enter details about their construction project (such as type of work, construction type, floor area, number of floors e.t.c) to generate an early cost prediction report. This report provides indicative prices and a cost breakdown.
A feasibility study was completed in February 2024 and the team have now received additional funding from Innovate UK to develop a full-scale commercial platform. Currently, the platform prototype is available for free and participants are encouraged to use it and feedback to the team.
