    I have the same machine. I have had chicks hatch on day 16 and as late as day 24. Fantastic video. Great job young lady.

    I too had similar results to your hatchlings 48 incubated 19 hatched 18 survived 9 roosters 9 hens. I also made them egg laying boxes and given time the hens get clucky and start to sit on the egg and hatch them themselves you don't need the incubator or brooder.

    When you open the incubator the drop in humidity can cause the membrane inside the egg to shrink and trap the chick. Becareful opening. I lift one side and quickly grab a couple. Then let everything get back to normal before grabbing a couple more. Hope that helps someone.
