So if there are 6 wires and you connect 3 and 3, how do you know which ones to separate, is there a hot and a ground wire on each one?
With low voltage there is no ground wire in the strand. Hopefully this video will help a little more. ua-cam.com/video/U7tbvnCtF-E/v-deo.html
there is no smaller easier way to T off? (using low voltage) . I have 40 lights! Thinking of getting those spike in wire connectors, as it just punches into the main wire without cutting them... and then silicon sealing them(?) They are small and pretty cheap, as I need 80 connectors.
I would not reccomend anything that pierces the wire. They may be cheaper but guaranteed over time you will have issues with corrosion of connectors and wire. We see it all the time
@@LightingDoctor thanks..If I hadn't already put them on and silicon them in, I would likely go the route of the Orange ones you used. So What I will do is silicon those points as well, as I agree, over time the pseudo seal will be breached. SO, the silicon will make it last longer. BTW, I have a theory...I think the gel that is in the ones you demo-ed are filled with expired silicon :-)
Can't you connect multiple fixtures to different ports on the transformer without splitting anywhere?
Yes on most transformers the terminals will be large enough to run multiple lines...
can you test LED fixtures with AA batteries? like testing 4 fixtures on a tree?
Hey Scott, yes here is a device you can use lightingdoctor.ca/product/king-innovation-insta-light-for-landscape-lighting-2pack/
Hi. I have fixtures with teeth connectors are they any good.
I would reccommend cutting of the teeth connectors and using a good waterprood connector. Almost guaranteed the teeth connectors will corrode and cause problems within only a few years
I don’t understand how to t off to another fixture. Can you explain ?
This video should help explain better. ua-cam.com/video/U7tbvnCtF-E/v-deo.html
