The chest makes sense as it's the most fair exactly like Toya said! Comparing Field Event rules to Sprint Rules is comparing 🍎 to 🍊 :) The WC/OLY 100m Finals determines the fastest man & woman in the world that particular year, otherwise what's the point in having them?! Those Finals have the most eyes on you with the most pressure on you & if you can't produce your best in that high pressure setting when it matters the most, then you don't deserve to call yourself the fastest in the world!
Toya is absolutely right. I feel like the chest makes it more equitable. With all things considered, you train to put your chest over first. Even in high jump, your whole body can hit the bar, if it does not fall, you cleared it. The rules are the rules.
You’re right. The rules are the rules.i think cameras are so good now, they can see what body part comes across first. I believe chest was ok back in the days when technology was a little more primitive. Now we have tools to help us to get this right. Thank you all for your comments. I do see both sides.

Sprint I believe should be determined by the head body or whatever body part hits the line first. In most ways I agree with Isaiah.
Did Isiah run in 200m London 2012?
I did not
