- I recently purchased the Honeycomb Aeronautical Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie controllers to practice my flying from home while studying for my Private Pilot's License. I go over why I want a flight sim setup, why I purchased this particular brand, the setup, and some of the features of the controllers.
I purchased these from Sporty's Pilot Shop online as a bundle!
-Alpha Yoke
-Bravo Throttle Quadrant
-Charlie Rudder Pedals
So far I'm thrilled with these controllers and use it with MSFS 2020. Stay tuned in the future as I will post videos of me practicing flights with the Honeycomb Aeronautical flight controllers!
Great vid!!! While i was watching i checked your channel and i got confused that you didn'i have more subscribers or veiws!! You deserv alot more man!! Good luck with the channel!!! I will be here and follow you along the way!
Love those rudder pedals
When I unboxed my set, I was blown away by the size and quality. Every expectation met.
As far as msfs2024, with a 4070ti super, i find a 50”. 4k tv over the quest 3 is preferable. I still might find a setting that makes it look as good, but the tv is flawless. I tied the hat on the alpha to character movement.
Nice set up. My set up is similar except I'm using a cessna style TPM controls. it helps better with muscle memory. That push and pull on the controls. This definitely helped me on my PPL journey. Happy flying
Hi there! Just curious, where did you get your Cessna TPM controls? I feel like it is tough to find. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Are you using the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Universal Control System?
I wont deny what a proppa setup does and will say its all worth the money of this is your hobby. As much as I think I am ok with my joystick flying general aviation I just always deep inside wish I still had my yoke.
I bought a tpm from etsy and attached it to the bottom of my brovo. Also i 3d printed under desk mount for the alpha.
Thanks for the Honeycomb review. Still on the fence vs Winwing ...
The Charlie pedals have some plug inserts you can remove to screw the setup to a wooden board.
I love the Alpha and Bravo. I don't like the silly red lights on the Alpha. Thankfully they can be turned off. I don't like the charlie pedals at all and didn't even consider them as something I'd want. I bought the Thrustmaster TPR pedals and they are really top notch. As for the friction of the Alpha, it is to simulate the aerodynamic forces on the control surfaces. I think they do a very good job of offering a realistic feel. They work on a bungie cord system, not springs.
Can u make a video to set up the controls
Hi, can u send us the sensitivity u put for alpha ?
this mighy be a stupid question, I was thinking to buy the Alpha and Bravo controls, is there any chance that we control the rudder using joystick that having the left and right axis?...
If you're trying to simulate a 172, have you considered a different throttle quadrant?
Did you get the throttle lights to work
Does your 172 have g1000 in it
I have had the Alpha and Bravo for 2-3 years now. Bravo detents for Thrust reversers are worn. Alpha yoke has red AP disconnect on wrong side. Ignition is on wrong side, The yoke is very sticky/worn and low res in pitch. Trying to get lights working on AP is a joke and not worth the effort. For consumer level and price, I give them a pass. I would pay a little more and look at winwing products. Not affiliated.
Other than the rudder (which looks awesome), WinWing doesn't appear to sell anything that simulates GA - they don't offer a yoke or a GA throttle quadrant. Am I mistaken?
