A buddy of mine invited me to see this show, knowing I liked original King Crimson but had never heard anything else beyond that. This was the best show I’ve ever gone into cold, and I haven’t been able to stop listening to 80s Crimson since
I was there too! All 4 seem to be having so much fun, especially Belew. He probably thought he would never get to do this again and he's savoring it. Danny Carey is a beast! Perfect combo of power, finesse, chops, and feel. Great stuff!
Same here; Danny's solos on Indiscipline are quite astounding; he gets to really strech it with these guys; no polyrhyms stacked or otherwise are off limits. They are having a good time, and so is the audience. I'm here for the improvisational aspect as well.
Yes indeed. When following Vai's own tours even when playing his own material, it takes a few gigs before the playing reaches the peak. Similarly with Beat, the first shows were great, but these later shows are even better. AMAZING band, I wasn't expecting to like their playing this much. A world tour would be appreciated.
Same set list in New York last night. I love the swagger that Steve Vai brings. And look at the way Danny smiles at the end of "Neal and Jack and Me." So beautiful.
I was there too but not as close as you. No bad seats at the Warner, though. Sound was incredible and these 4 guys were absolutely killing it from beginning to end. It was BEATiful to see and hear. I feel blessed to have been in the presence of such awesome musianship. Thanks for this memento!
Wow, great show! I live on the other side of the Atlantic, so I will probably never see them live. Missed out the King Crimson gig in Oslo a few years back. All shows sold out quickly to say the least.
Following this tour on youtube from AU - this was the best show yet!! Adrian has suddenly freed right up. Couldn't stop smiling! Thanks GGU for the great funny business free front and centre videoing.
I agree - also following from AU, and this is a great recording of a very tight performance. Danny definitely also relaxing now and getting some slinkiness in there.
Thanks for posting this. I was there, but in the next to last row (Near $150.00/ticket). I enjoyed the show no doubt and was pleased to attend, but this is more like being there than being there. Lastly, I need an outfit like Mr. Vai’s for when I play out…
Gonna' see them in OHIO - this'll be a nice bookend to seeing them tour for the Yellow album! On that tour they opened with Red and blew me away as I was only familiar with their first album (my Dad's!) and "Sleepless" that I only heard one time on the radio. When the DJ announced they were playing this weekend at Pine Knob (MI) I went! : )
I was at this show from almost the same vantage point! A row back and to the right. At least I didn't have to deal with that dude`s head in my field of view!😅
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you liked the footage, and I hope you and your son have an unforgettable time at the show in Vancouver!
@@GuitarGodsUnleashed hoping they make it to the Netherlands. Baltimore/Washington are my old stomping grounds and i had friends at this show. i would have absolutely been there too.
I hope by the time I see them at the end of the month they add in some surprising songs like Indoor Games, Happy Family, Groon, Catley's Ashes, and Meltdown. Maybe even a Giles,Giles, and Fripp song or two.
I think they have a carefully planned setlist, because Vai and Carey worked hard to get these songs as good as they are. I would guess they're focused on getting their solos in this material as good as possible, rather than learning new songs. What I'm hoping for is that this group stays together to tour for years to come and they can then add additional material. I don't imagine they'd add GGF--it's not a Fripp tribute band-- but Vai and Belew are both Zappa alumni, so I can imagine a Black Napkins encore, or something off their solo albums (Adrian's been putting out incredible stuff in the last few years).
@@gastonrecalde1095me pasa lo mismo, si tuviera los medios y contactos me la jugaría. Hay tantos lugares para ellos! Traen a Franz Ferdinand, Keen, por qué no a ellos?

Been watching every show on YT so far. Even though it’s same set…the improvs and tightness get better each day

They are definitely more relaxed than at the earlier shows, and the sound balance has improved considerably.
Hopefully BEAT makes a proper record with all these compositions. Live or in studio, either would be great.

I love beat.

One of the best shows I have ever seen. 5th row!
Nice! 5th row is a solid spot! Glad you had a blast!
Epic ,Epic. The best band on the planet.
I was there in Washington DC that night. Wow we sold out the warner theater.
These guys just fall into odd time signatures effortlessly
The Dragon Drums Boobams (long clear drums) are Bruford's from the original Discipline tour. The Rototom is Terry Bozzio's.
Really?????
Thank you! I was there, and its great to re-live it thanks to your video.
You're welcome! What this channel is all about!!
What an amazing show! I was in the 6th row, it was an amazing experience. Danny's solo at the beginning of Indiscipline was incredible.
I saw the Dallas show! It WAS EPIC!! Steve and Danny killed it! And of course Tony and Adrian owned it as usual!
Wow, great show! I live on the other side of the Atlantic, so I will probably never see them live. Missed out the King Crimson gig in Oslo a few years back. All shows sold out quickly to say the least.
Fantastic Show, worth the drive up to DC, and will see them in a couple days in RVA,
They’ve tightened up the material. Didn’t take them long to get that done.

Right?! They were on fire! So happy you enjoy the video! Thanks for watching! 🙌
@@GuitarGodsUnleashedStellar Audio and Video Production ! What did you use to Film the above Concert ?

after just getting a guitar myself I appreciate their playing SO much more
I was at this show at the warner theater. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for uploading! Great footage from the balcony!
Was at the show. Simply magnificent.
What a beautiful combination of prog and rock talent. Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome!! Thanks for tuning in!!
DOWN IN FRONT!!
Great post, and thanks for the share. Heading in Saturday night to see them at the iconic Hampton Beach Club Casino. Can't wait!
That sounds awesome! Hope you had a blast at the show!!

Haha, right? It definitely was a bit difficult to navigate around that bobblehead! Glad you had a good time! 🤘😂
Best live footage I have seen yet! Thanks for the awesome quality! I'm taking my 15-year-old son to the Vancouver show in November and so excited!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm really glad you liked the footage, and I hope you and your son have an unforgettable time at the show in Vancouver!
Was there with my son. Great show! We’re both big fans of the KC era music
I will be seeing them October 19th at Kodak Theater on the Ridge, Rochester, NY and can't wait! What a lineup!
The four horseman from the apocalyps are going deep! 🙏♨️
I was there. Brilliant show & perfect venue
Jeez they really tightened up since LA and SD! Glad to see it.
That was a good show. Thanks for sharing.
Great show for sure. Thanks for checking it out! 😊
\m/ thank you \m/

might be time to consider a few more countries...New Zealand maybe haha
And Finland too. It wouldn't be too far from New Zealand.
The playing has gotten even tighter now that they have enough routine playing together. Have they also increased tempo a bit on some song?
URGENTE!! NECESITO VERLOS EN BUENOS AIRES!!!! LA VERSION DE LARKS! TREMENDING!!!
Estoy literalmente obsesionado con que vengan a Argentina

Aaaaaaaand after 8 min you found the viewfinder. Set it, forget it. But thank you for the video.
Haha, I know, right? Sometimes it takes longer than expected to find the simplest things! Glad you enjoyed the video!🤘
Warner Theater, Washington DC ?
Yes.
they cover Red so that they don't have to play Discipline. i don't blame em
Beautiful video expect for that guy with the glasses to the right that keeps getting into the frame....lol.
HAHA, I guess he just wanted to steal the spotlight! Thanks for watching!
Tall rich man, two pimps and what looks to be the cook walk on stage.
Leave your hammers at the box!
As amazing as they've been sounding they really cannot lock in that last part of 3OAPP 😅
By now, its their lucky charm to not get it right :) Bless 'em :)

When Slayer played this same theater in 1987, there fans did over $200,000 in damage. 🤓
Their fans.
It's funny how anemic the video recordings sound - I'm sure it sounded awesome in the room.
Haha, right? It definitely sounded way better live!
....how i miss Bill and Bob , but specially Bill Bruford...
Your auto focus is making me feel ill 🤷🏻♂️🤪
HAHA, my apologies. AFS (Auto Focus Syndrome)! I promise to work on a cure for the next video! 🤘
Shamefully unrecorded from the mixing desk
Terrible noise..🥴
