Reticulated python in general only gets around 2-5 feet longer than an anaconda. And the anaconda is much heavier with a much larger diameter and overall mass the python would loose nearly every time to a anaconda.
Maybe a retic. But the *burmese python* gets just as bulky as the anaconda, if not more.
Jimmy David Burmese python never gets as bulky as an anaconda an anaconda would greatly outweigh a Burmese python on bulk and diameter alone. Anacondas can exceed 550 pounds in weight alone Burmese pythons max put at 200 pounds not to mention the anaconda has a diameter of around 12-15 inches. The main difference between the reticulated python and the anaconda is that the anaconda is a boa species. Not a python species. And the difference between the two of them is that the boas give birth to live young, and the pythons lay eggs. And the reticulated python is not found in Australia either. The large python there is the amethystine/scrub python.

Right again! Once again, we agree! In an earlier comment, I suggested this comparison. Tonight, I saw that you had already done this battle. Since the anaconda is far heavier, I think it would win! Thanks for a great video!
Too bad its not heavier at all. Name a single anaconda over 300lbs? Ive seen medusa the retic in person. Shes 450lbs.
@@alexcrowder1673still anacondas are heavier
Also don’t forget the Green anaconda it’s ancestor was Titanoboa a 48 ft Green anaconda in prehistoric time
It comes down to attitude. Anacondas seem to be more chill and relaxed whereas Pythons have been known to strike even when raised in captivity. There’s plenty of videos of Pythons striking their handlers and breeders. Anacondas always seem more curious than anything, but both are fascinating and can make good pets in the right hands.
Rethics are waaaaaaay, WAAAAAAAYYYYY more aggressive than anacondas. However, since I've held both in my hands, and multiple specimens of both spicies (countless rethyculated phytons and, if I remember correctly 6 different anacondas) I can pretty certainly say that anacondas are so much more powerfull that its not even same league and its stupid to even compare the two snakes.
Why is that I have no clue. How much more phytons are aggressive that much of a difference is in power for anacondas. Ive held and handled multiple phytons, all kinds, and countless rethyculated phytons among them, some of them quite big, Id say the biggest were above 6 meters in lenght.
Im telling you this just to give you impression of the difference in power. When I got to handle my first green anaconda I COULDNT BELIEVE the strenght of that animal.
Since I held so many phytons I tought I could "guess" how powerfull an anaconda of a certain lenght/weight can be. I wasnt even close with my estimations.
I was alarmed that anacondas are way stronger. But even that didnt help with my complete surprise.
After that I tought that perhaps that was a single specimen that was that much stronger than expected for whatever reason, but no, its the norm. Anacondas are just waaaay more powerfull.
Id say that phyton of 6 meters is equivalent to anaconda of maybe 3 meters. Even there Id give anaconda advantage. There is no rethyculated phyton on this planet, and it never existed in history that can come close in strenght to any regular anaconda of 5,5 meters in lenght and well fed.
My experience supports anacondas being stronger for their size. This isn't relevant to that discussion, but in the '70s I was asked to help a pet shop manager overcome his fear of snakes. I had him touch a 13 foot burmese python and hold an 8 foot anaconda. Afterward, with the anaconda back on me, I commented the effect that it had on my voice. Breathing wasn't difficult so I wasn't alarmed until my vision briefly blacked out. I realized that blood flow must have been cut off and reached up to unwrap the snake. I woke up on the ground looking up at the confused shopkeeper. Young anacondas are somewhat arboreal and instinctively cling to avoid falling and injury. But trees don't have carotid arteries or jugular veins. It was only a week or two later that the news reported the death of an entertainer in Canada from a boa in the same circumstance. Pressure on the neck from a tame snake just holding on shouldn't be taken for granted.
@@jeffthompson9622 yep, that's why it's a general rule of thumb that ANY snake that reaches 8 ft or more, should always have two full adults in the room when handling.
Sometimes the snakes don't know their own strength, ans aren't being aggressive. They just naturally tighten on to their supports (you) for their own comfort. And if they accidently get into a position that puts you in a vulnerable situation (like getting on your neck or disabling your arms), then you can truly be in danger without a second adult nearby.
@@Aizen2468 A lot of what I learned then came the hard way, through experience. I collected and read reference books and sought personal advice from people I knew. Unfortunately, the books available had significant practical gaps, some people didn't know as much as I believed they did, and some people don't realize or acknowledge the limits of their knowledge.
Anaconda's have been known to wrestle caimans and Jaguars, that says something about how strong they are
I didnt really get that impression tbh. Ive worked with both species too, i have a few retics right behind me rightnow. Regardless, even the biggest green cant approach the length of a huge sarawak or sulawesi retic, honestly not even the weight. You have to remember big retics like a sarawak or a sulawesi can top 25ft yet anaconda are quite a few feet shorter than that. Ive never seen one over 19ft, literally EVER. Yet ive seen retics over 25ft in person. Take a look at medusa the retic and look at her girth. Theres just no way a 17-19ft anaconda could weigh more than her. Theyd have to be another 50% thicker than her, and shes already as big around as a grown mans chest. Retics are king. They just are. Smarter too!
Depends on how large the individuals are, at maximum known size, green anaconda wins because it outweighs the largest known reticulated python. At average adult size, I don't know. But in captivity, reticulated pythons does seem to exceed green anacondas both in weight and length.
Reticulated python is a bit underrated imo, it's certainly not to be underestimated, being one of the few constrictors that had been known to prey on humans, they're probably the most aggressive constrictors. As a python, retics also has more teeth than any boa.
Not true at all. Heaviest reticulated python was medusa at 450lbs. Heaviest anaconda was a 297lbs individual in an American zoo.
Hell I seen a video of a reticulated python climbing a tree for its prey dam never seen a snake like that before

can’t imagine if titanoboa is still exist
Who would win in a fight? Well an anaconda is bigger and stronger but reticulated pythons are faster and I imagine that the one that gets wrapped around the other the fastest will win so I think a logical assumption would be that the python would win because it's faster as long as they are similar in size. In the water I goth with an anaconda though.
Anaconda is a boa constrictor, if they get wrapped around each other the Anaconda would suffocate the python in just a few short minutes. Boa species have much larger muscles which is why the Anaconda is heavier, but not as long.
I really enjoy these!
I think to describe that reticulated pythons come in various colors including white, orange or yellow is not very accurate. Those are albino specimens which on those rare occasions occured in the wild won't survive long.
P/s: if you are going to include biological anomalies in your description why don't include that these snakes comes with one to two heads too.

Your wrong about green anaconda being stronger. As an animal that uses water to hold it's bodyweight it loses strength. Retics are arborial, using all their muscles regularly pulling their body weight.
Size does not always equal strength.
Also alot of the snakes you showed were not the snakes in topic.
Not sure who would win. 👍🏿
Phyton retic win in their habitats.
The strongest predator in the jungle.
Very clever to climb trees.🐉
Anacondas can also climb, they're just more adept to the water because of their habitat, and they're pretty fast as well, one of the fastest strikes of any snake
Weight in pure muscle does mean strength and obviously the anaconda is shorter but much stronger
The anacondas whose grip I have felt have squeezed noticeably tighter than pythons of the same length.
I see what you're saying but Anacondas can climb trees and the weight is pure muscle. Because they don't have hands it's down to who can restrict and overpower. The Anaconda wins substantially.
Oh,this looks lovely.
I Got the reticulated phyton they are fast and agile. They will fight and bite fast when you provoke them.more aggressive
Hrac Hier it doesn’t matter if they are largest. Reticulated phyton eat humans specially in south east asia. They are aggressive and strong too more agile land and water
Hrac Hier yah,but on land they are slow. Phyton can travel far even in the sea. Anaconda is just fat
anaconda win of course, they have more muscle/power
Retics are most greatest snake bcoz it is active day and night when it needed prey and it will be ability to climb the trees for hunting While anaconda is only ambushed technique on the ground.
the green anaconda is the real king
There has been no official records of anacondas eating humans

This could be a good fight but over time the Anaconda's size would probably wear down the Reticulated Python. Both are gorgeous snakes.

bearcat648 it’s the very reason keeping exotic reptiles is illegal here in Aus
There was a retic skin found in Queensland once, but it turned out to be a tanned skin
King cobra vs black mamba
They are both elapids, so their venom is somewhat similar, but the king cobra is just too dam big around and way to long for even a big snake like a mamba. The only thing at all in favor of the mamba is speed...And that would be for escaping lol.
Would be very one sides, the king cobra is a reptile eater, infact their scientific name literally translates to “snake eater.” This combined with the fact they are a much larger snake in terms of mass and a mamba wouldn’t stand a chance.
Sure mambas are considered more toxic, but this is based on tests conducted on mice and not reptiles, where as the king cobras venom has worked in hunting venomous reptiles such as the Indian cobra for Millenia
@@WickedWildlife ... Not.only that, but the king cobra has much more venom in volume per strike. And their venom is very similar, but again, the king cobra simply has more. The Cobra wins going away
AR15cuz BlackGunsMATTER I think the king cobras tolerance to venom is a major factor aswell
King Von the king cobra isn’t effected by snake venom so it would win
Dude - you are the best, but disagree with your choice this time. Pythons, personality-wise, and it must be said, I am not a handler, but I have talked to those that are and Pythons are way more aggressive toward everything vs Anaconda.

The Anaconda can put strangle its prey much harder than the Python. If it manages that its pretty much game over for any animal. However the Anaconda on land is much slower than the Python. I doubt the Anaconda eill be able to coil around the Python since the latter is faster. I also estimate that the Python being able to kill pigs can kill strangle an Anaconda to dead. So I think the Python will actually win 6/10 times. Mainly because constrictors have an OP attack stat.

I have a baby anaconda as a pet I’m from Trinidad so they reached far
I have a friend in Trinidad who exhibits reptiles. It's good to hear from someone else there who has an interest in reptiles.
Your mention of your anaconda reminds me that they have a pretty broad range. I seem to recall that their average size varies across that range. I wish you luck and enjoyment with your anaconda. Be careful. I was squeezed unconscious in the '70s once by an 8 footer. It wasn't being aggressive- just holding firmly to not fall, and breathing was easy. I didn't know then that blood flow to the brain could be cut off without trying. I was lucky that the snake relaxed once it and I were on the ground.
Are you related to Saiyaad Hasmat Ali?

Please made a comparison video on Python vs Boa and Anaconda vs Boa and please answer and reply to my question which one is more longer in length between a Python and a Boa.
Completely false information being put out in this video, I care for green and yellow anacondas as well as reticulated and Burmese pythons, among many many others. There has never been a credible, confirmable instance of a 550lb green anaconda, in fact they RARELY reach 17ft. Reticulated pythons however very commonly surpass 20 feet. Most adult female green anacondas are between 10 and 14ft.......
@Hrac Hier venom tv is correct the owners in the us who keep them have never had them that big the largest anaconda in the us is a healthy 16.7ft 18year old that weighs 176lb at Kansas city zoo however retics overall will surpass anacondas in weight and length but not girth I had books saying anacondas get 550lb and 29ft but that is a myth because out of a 1000 examined anacondas in the wild the largest was 17ft 1in 215lb while pregnant over 35lb of baby's to add to the overall weight
@Hrac Hier read my statement above its good information 😒
@Lockheed Squad and SR-71 that's a myth there's a reason why reticulated pythons are in the record books its because they grow larger then the anacondas that were already at the zoo in fact no zoo in the world has ever had an anaconda big enough to take the world record for snakes
@Lockheed Squad and SR-71 that was a 16ft average adult female the media will exaggerate claims of a certain animals size always for example they said the Philippines had a 49foot python that turned out to 21ft but they reported the 49ft as true then months later they said a family in Mexico got attacked by a 20ft boa constrictor witch grow 10 to 11 ft average all exaggerated claims from media
Barely anything in this video was accurate
