Well thanks for the information. I do videos about NZ in my own language and I spending hours around immigration sites and other sites, but your videos short it to me with your full informational, that less time to spend. I’ve only noticed you are not doing much videos like weekly one. I hope you start doing more please. For sure I will recommend your channel to my subscribers. Last thing to say I love the editing on your video. Thank you so much. Have a nice afternoon.
Interesting and informative, well explained videos. How about continuing these with a look at temporary work visa's. I have been over twice working in Dunedin on temp work visa for a period of 6 months but have now reached the age of 56. Will this affect any future applications for the same?
Hi, I am thinking about immigrating to NZ from the UK. My points would seem to qualify me for the skilled migrant category but I am thinking that perhaps I should visit the country on a working visa first before making that decision to stay as a permanent resident. Is this a smart move / should I just apply for permanent residence in the knowledge that I can always return to the UK?
It's always a good idea to visit first before applying for residency to see if this country is a good match for you. I'm surprised you would have 160 points towards SMC without a job here in NZ?
@@nzimmigrationlawtalk oh! Now the penny has dropped, i was banking points based on attaining a job offer outside Auckland so it was dependant on that. Step 1 - Find myself a job on a work visa first then, thank you for all your videos

Hello sir ,, if u will choose Auckland you will get just 1 year's job search visa , n if u will go outside of Auckland u will get 2 years visa ..it means Auckland is more safe and secure for jobs ? And if I will go outside then it will be hard to find job there ? I hope you will give me ans. Kia Ora! My Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Management will commence on 17 September in Nelson. I will finish the program on July 2019. Am I entitled to 2 or 3 years PSWV? A bit confused between a bachelor & a level 8 program.
If it's level 8, you'll get three years on your post study work visa. Bachelors degrees (Level 7) and above get three year visas. Graduate Diplomas (Level 7) and below get one year visas.
That was a very prompt response. Thank you! I got one more question. My pregnant partner got a work visa (partner of a student) before the announcement of these upcoming changes. She's coming with me next week but will fly home on October before her 7th month pregnancy. Her WV expires on April 2019 (didn't complete the x-ray during her medical exam as she's pregnant) and mine on August 2019. When she re-applies for a WV next year, hoping she can join with me again together with my baby, is it still a challenge to establish our living together factor?

Thanks.

You may only be entitled to another post study visa after completing further study in the same field at a bachelor's degree or higher. For example, let say you completed a Diploma in Business level 6 and then went back and studied a Masters in Business level 9, in that situation, then you would get a further post study visa.

Hi Anjali. Thanks for your question. I believe after finishing your study, you should be able to apply for a one-year open work visa. Then, following 26 November 2018, you can apply for a further two-year open work visa. You should still get to enjoy the benefits of a full three-year open work visa.
