Just like the F4 comics, Ben has always been the heart and soul of the group. Reed once said that Ben is the most genuine, honourable, pure hearted and incorruptible member of the F4. He's the embodiment of all that is good in the galaxy. This coming from the smartest man In the Marvel universe. Micheal captured all of those characteristics to a tee in both movies. Whoever is playing The Thing in the MCU has some big shoes to fill yo.
Glad he didn't go against thor,
Or at least try to hold mioljnir
Or else thor is doomed

The human Ben had hair in the comics, but the human Ben in the live action films doesn't.

Timeless..it's almost a masterpiece
The stretch effects looks awful, the rest isn't toooo dated
I love that Michael is a genuine fan of the Fantastic Four comics. I hope he gets a cameo in the MCU film
if he wasn't a huge fan, we could have gotten an abomination CGI Thing. Some people don't like this look of Thing, but it at least let the visual effects budget go to other things that needed it.
“No Thing to stand in your way”

😈😈 Take a good look Ben... This is what a man looks like, who embraces his Destiny.

Yeah that was just totally sick of doom to that to him very cruel wounding him by throwing out that hard tough door and hitting the rough pavement outside after just sick rotten and another reason to make Doom a hate sink of this version 100% man so glad and relief his company was sold out before this happened also because he didn’t care about Dr Richards or Johnny and the others just only wanted the storm powers because he wanted to have more money and land for power of near world supremacy all the way right guys yep, Ned and the bankers had ever right to throw Victor out because Victor just ruins innocent people lives and that’s just wrong 100% indeed so tyranny and genocide way wrong indeed but still at least he’s gone after the sequel story bit and drowned so hopefully we’ll never see him again ever and good residence because since this version of him is pure evil since, I’ve seen him on the pure evil wiki it is good residence since he cares of no one but himself 100% indeed ow and don’t worry Jimmy remember he’s wounded not dead because we see him in the sequel at his working reception desk at the Baxter building when his honour General Hager arrives remember guys just to check remember you know he was welcoming General Hager to the building as any good kind doorman ever should right guys if that’s permitted to say please thank you.
Okay, I'm just gonna come out and say it. Michael Chiklis Is The Thing! His portrayal of the character was absolute perfect casting. His Thing is even the exact height the character was in the comics. 6 feet tall. Also, gotta love how he says "It's Clobberin Time!"

Honestly, I wouldn't have minded this lineup of actors for the F4 if the MCU had existed back then with Feige in control. Michael, in particular, was just so perfect as Ben. Ioan was also a great Reed (or at the very least, he looked the part). Imagine them under Feige's direction. They still did well with the stuff they were given back then though.
I agree
And Julian MacMahon played a fantastic Doctor Doom. at least portrayal wise the role fit him. 100 times better than the doom from the reboot. Give Julian the role back for the new reboot and let him shine

Basically this movie was wayyy ahead of its time
I didn’t like Jessica as Sue. I hope the new Sue Storm is better.
Fun fact: they had to add in all the sounds of "The Thing"'s joints moving because he is actually not made of rocks. The audio was taken from an undisclosed location in Australia's storied outback using genuine stones. Red rock makes the crunchiest of sounds.

Amazing thing about the marvel films from the 2000s. Not only did they have great actors with a cool adaptation of the comic book characters (Hulk, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four) they also had great scores. I still feel the nostalgia from the score in this film and Tobey’s Spider-Man.

I never realized reed countered vic's "what happens if you superheat a rubber" with "what happens if you cool down an extremely hot metal"

So here's a question. If ALL Ben wanted was to be "normal" again, why did Victor decide to evil monologue and then backhand him? Why not just be like "Well, there ya go Ben, you're you again Buddy! Don't say I never helped you out, and good luck out there!" and then calmly leave?
He thought the smack with kill Ben:
Well..ben saw him all messed up and burned and stuff..the cat was out of the bag..ben would just go tell the others that victor was affected too and theyd investigate..plus reed walked in on them, which would have led to the same or a similar outcome
Doom needed to get the one most suspicious and distrusting of him out of the way. Also until that point Doom was stronger than everyone other than The Thing.
His power is probably the worst to have. He still has the desires and emotions of a human, and being in such a form, means he will never be able to get into a relationship/ have a family etc.
I don't think I would ever be able to live with this "power". At least with the other powers, they still look "human".
The biggest/only flaw in his powers is that it's permanent for some reason, whereas others can turn theirs on and off. If that was fixed it would be perfect
almost the first thing he does after going human again is checking what's going on with his dick lol
