Livin Gunk I never really liked Johnny but his reactions to crazy things that happen in the movies were so funny and relatable. Plus I loved his character development in the 2nd movie.

I liked the character development for Ben Grimm in this. He just got turned back into a Human which is what he wanted, but he is willing to throw that away because his friend is in trouble. Love it👍
This movie had great human moments like the Raimi Spidey films but people tend to crap on human moments in superhero films that's why this movie is underrated

@@lazarus8018I'd also like to add that there's also an overwhelming amount of jokes that make modern movies feel less mature. The early 2000s movies knew how to balance the serious and fun.
Easily the best scene in the movie. For the first time, we see Johnny think about someone other than himself and he selflessly plunges himself in front of the missile while also jumping off a huge building, with 0 hesitation and without even really knowing if he’d ignite or not. Chris Evans’ delivery along with the F4 theme kicking in as he starts flying, reminiscent of when Peter started shooting his first few webs in the 2002 Spider-Man film. I’ll never understand the hate for this.
Peter and Johnny are close friends too. I think the thrill of seeing Johnny ignite and fly for the first time and Peter webslinging for the first time was deliberate.

Chris Evans will always be Johnny Storm to my imagination first before i even think about Captain America. He's a great versatile actor and plays both characters really well but i'm much more drawn to the easy going jokester character than the traumatized, stoic character. I was also only in my early tweens when Fantastic 4 came out so it made more of a childhood impact to me. I just wish Evans would say "flame on" one more time...or make Captain use it as a reference...that'd be awesome

Chris Evans is so good of an actor that I'm now realizing how I hardly ever thought about his role as Johnny Storm when seeing him play Cap. He played both characters excellently to my surprise, given they're so different from each other.
It would have been funny if Sue just threw up a force field, the missile exploded harmlessly and doom was like...."Well....that was anticlimactic"
One does not simply, put up a force field for anti-climactic effect!

Age doesn't really have anything to do with his acting. By the time FF came out he was already in his 20s so he was already matured. Chris Evans is just a really good actor.

I remember watching this when I was younger and I would recreate this scene with my action figures....when life was simpler...

6 years a little late, but I can't understand how people expect this movie to take itself so seriously. This is the F4, not Batman. It just about has the same amount of witty banter as any other recent MCU film, but I don't ever see the same amount of people calling those goofy...
I love how none of them are the slightest bit worried that there is a possible chance Johnny could get blown to bits if he's not careful. And knowing Johnny, he could have been blown up, luckily he was only tossed into the water.
The part where he said 'never do' tally reminded me of Cap😆

I don't know what it is about Marvel movies and cool looking fire powers, but every time they put a hero with fire powers onscreen, it usually looks amazing! Human Torch, Ghost Rider, Pyro from the X-Men films.

Sorry might piss people off with this comment, but I think he's way better as Johnny Storm than Steve Rogers. I mainly feel this way because of his voice, I imagine Cap's voice being a little deeper. Honestly I always imagined Brad Pitt as the perfect person to play Captain Rogers.

Everything about The Thing and the Human Torch were the best things about this movie.
I do find it cool and definitely creepy how calm Victor von Doom is when he is casually trying to kill The Fantastic Four.
So far until we get a proper Fantastic Four movie adaptation for the MCU, this is the closest we’re going to get for the perfect Fantastic Four movie.

I love the antiaircraft launcher, that Dr. Doom utilized, in this Fantastic Four movie. That missile locked on to the Human Torch, and didn't let him go until he created, a larger heat source. Burn Baby Burn!!!!!!!
