Thanks for the video. When in bypass is it the same as going clean through the amp.
Any idea what is the signal path on that? from 1 to 8? So if I want a setting where OD is to be before delay, I should put my OD on loop#1 and delay on one of the later loops 2-8 ?. Or is it like that effect comes first that you choose first when programming ?
Hi! Sorry, I know this is an old video. It looks like you have more than 8 pedals on your board. Do you have multiple pedals in any of the loops or are some pedals running outside of the switcher?
Would be crucial to know if it's buffered or true bypass.

Is there an input or output buffer?
Can I use two joyos with 16 pedals, then connect the two joyo's together?
How many loops per patch can you have? How many patches total?
how long have you had this unit? I've read reviews that these units can freeze on stage/crash... any experience with that? Do you tour with it?
also if you have a delay unit in a loop, when you change the preset to one without the delay, does the delay cut hard or do the trails fade out?
can i tweak the knobs on each pedal. and change it i the other bank?
I have the ends of those cables you used to wire the board together but dont know how to attach the actual cable to them, anyone have a link for a tutorial like that?
hi nice tutorial, but can you program to interchange the pedal? example if you want a preset of a pedal A > B, and another preset going to pedal B > A

I have a question. How does this hook up actually? I mean I run certain effects thru the front of my amp and distortions thru my effects loop. How does this hook up to keep that configuration?
You will need to buy the PXL Pro to have the time based effects run through your FX loop
Or you could put the amps preamp through one of the loops

You can connect multiple pedals within a loop. For instance, say loop 2 has all your different distortion/fuzz pedals in it. Loop 3 all chorus and delay. At 7:02 you can see his whole pedal board. All the pedals with the same color sticker are in the same loop. (unless I completely misunderstand what he's saying)
The video here is a bit confusing and he over-simplifies things. You still would have to select the individual pedal you want/don't want within the loop.

Another question. I stack a clean boost before an overdrive- will the pxl8 allow for that when I set it up
You could use matching color dot stickers on a pedal and in the loop. Nice review and good explanation. Very convenient to be able to hit one button to turn on/off multiple pedals at once.
Il understanding that for example with only one drive pedal. I can bank a small drive on 3A and a big dirt drive on 3b . It keep in memory the pedal setting ?

I have an amp with a FX loop at the back, and Id like to use the PXL8 to control my pedals going in the input of the amp as well as on the FX loop.
My idea is to use one of the JOYOs loops for the preamp of my amp. Id like to use/sacrifice “LOOP 5” on the joyo as such; JOYO SEND in the Amp INPUT, and the FX SEND from my amp in the JOYO RETURN. Id keep loop 5 ON my Joyo on at all times. And the output of the JOYO would go to the FX Return of my amp.
Is that gonna work or I’m missing something very obvious?

Hi, great video! I'm wondering if it's possible to turn on individual pedals using their own foot switch despite them still being connected to the switcher. For example like how you have the phaser, I'm wondering if you can use still turn it on and off with its foot switch even though it is connected to the switcher and get the phase sound. Thanks

Getting noise from loops that are deselected, ie my drum pedal can be heard at a lower volume even though I'm bypassing that loop. Wtf.

Hey man. So I've only recently started learning avoid effects and pedal boards and now have a small-ish board of my own (6 pedals). I also do back UK vocals for my band and the whole tap dance routine I have as well. My question is this, my amp has a looper to the back but I run all my effects from guitar=>pedal chain=>loop return (bypassing the pre-amp). Where in the chain would you recommend this unit being placed?
You can use it in that manner. Personally I like gain pedals in front of the amp and modulation in the loop

Thanks for the reply.. I need banks but the thing I like about the buzz.. it's built like a tank and looks good. I looked on the website and it said it has banks? But there is no display so I don't know how you would know what bank you're on ?
Can you program it to switch between your amps channels? Would love to not have to use my amps footswitch when switching from clean to distortion.
Check out their pxl pro model. It has triggers for amp switching capabilities!

Hey man, I know this is 5 years later but which patch cables were you using in this video with the looper? I see its pancake type style. Lots of people claim that the pancake style won't fit next to each other. But you've managed to do it. Please let me know what cables you are using. Thanks!
Those were all made by me. i just ordered the connectors from amazon.

No
Yes, at least on the pro version the 8 send/returns are split in two groups so you can wire one group in front of the amp and the other in the effects loop

Hey! What cables are you using to connect the pedals to the looper? I think I had a look at those flat-head patch cables and I was sure they wouldn't fit next to each other on the PXL8. Thanks!

Its not a looper. That is a misnomer: A looper is a audio repetition system, such as the Boomerang, or JamMan.
A true bypass looper is completely different to an audio loop pedal
