- Welcome to "You Need This!" My hopes for the channel is to highlight great gear that makes your life easier. Today you need, Thule's Crossover 2 Convertible Carry-On
This 41-liter carry-on is made from nylon, has room for your laptop, smash-resistant pocket for your sunglasses, RFID pocket for security, three interior zippered sections AND can be carried as a backpack, over the shoulder, and just with handles. It's baller.
It's tough, stylish, and after a year of use is my go-to for multi-day trips when I only want one bag.
What do you think? Would you be willing to go NO wheels for a little most space and flexibility? I have been very impressed (not to mention, I get compliments on it all the time).

Do you think it would fit under seat or is this meant to be the prime carry on ?
Great question. It wouldn't really fit in the sit under you. It's pretty big in that way. I mean if you were short and there wasn't much in the bag, you might be able to cram it under an exit row or Delta Comfort or something. But otherwise, it's in the overhead bin. It's great for me when I'm flying either quickly or on a long flight b/c I can't take my laptop out until we are at 10K feet so unless I bring another bag, it's all got to be accessible from the overhead. Does that help?
How comfortable do you find it on your back with a heavy load? There are almost no reviews on this one.
Yeah great question! It's pretty comfortable b/c the straps are well-padded. BUT I will say b/c they are made to fit a narrower case they aren't as comfortable long term as, say, a backpack. But for getting around the airport, hoping in cabs, etc. Ideal.
I had the chance to get one recently, and for a 1/2 h walk, it was good enough. They are well-padded for the style of bag. It is not a hiking bag, but it is more than good enough if caught in the city having to carry it for longer. Thank you for taking the time!@@bhaz
