Another thing I love using ChatGPT for during a radio show is "write me 5 trivia questions based on *wikipedia article copy* " and "generate 3 fake headlines about *xyz* " for a comedy segment. It's especially great when your show prep is burned faster than you thought it would!

The database is manually updated by the group behind it. The bad part of that is it can't learn from our chats. The good news is that the group behind it will see your corrections, and likely update it the next time they update the database. (The last time I heard, they went up to 2021. No word on when it will be updated again.)
That makes it good for older information, but not for spur of the moment, breaking news, unfortunately. (It is also supposed to prevent it from getting incorrect or incomplete information into its database.)
I corrected Chat GPT on something and then started asking it what it would do with the correction. That's when it told me it wouldn't be providing the information to other users, but its programmers would be able to see our conversation and make updates accordingly.
As this grows, I suspect there will be accusations of "gate keepers" and the like. Yet we can't just feed it 100% of the human race's output, so I don't know a better way myself...

Thanks Kevin. I sort of touched on that in an earlier lesson or two. I'll try to do one specifically about that in a coming video.

I wonder what it would say about Ted Nugent? I'm very suspect as using ChatGPT would be one of the LAST sources I would use to help program content. Bill Drake and Gene Chenault didn't have ChatGpt when they invented the Boss radio format in the 50s. Why would we want or need a biased robot to help us now?

big L take, funny you say that using the internet, something they didnt have either. Takes like this are how you get left in the dust by those who take advantage of new technology available to them.

I wouldn't let it program a station's content, at least right now. It just seemed to me like a good easy way to get information. You would then have to edit and turn it into 'content'. Not unlike using Google or even Rolling Stone Magazine 30 years ago. You read, process what you see, and then put it into jock form to do on the radio. It's just another tool, but as a jock, you have to make it work.

I was curious. Here's what it says: Ted Nugent is an American rock musician, guitarist, and singer-songwriter. Born on December 13, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Nugent gained prominence in the 1970s as the lead guitarist of the rock band The Amboy Dukes. He later embarked on a successful solo career.
Known for his high-energy guitar playing and dynamic stage presence, Nugent developed a reputation for his hard rock and heavy metal sound. His songs such as "Cat Scratch Fever," "Stranglehold," and "Free-for-All" became popular hits, showcasing his impressive guitar skills. Nugent's distinctive playing style and use of signature guitars influenced many aspiring rock guitarists.
Throughout his career, Nugent has released numerous albums and toured extensively, captivating audiences with his electrifying performances. He has remained a respected figure in the rock music scene, known for his energetic live shows and dedication to his craft.
While Nugent's political activism and outspoken views have been widely discussed, it's important to note that his musical contributions have played a significant role in his career. Despite the controversies surrounding him, Nugent's impact on rock music and his influence on guitarists cannot be overlooked.
