Great to see so many ormers these days. As a boy (am73 now) . We used to go over to Herm ormering and used to forage the wild mushrooms, parasols and bluets etc.i still have an old foraging basket. Will have to put a rope on it like you. Didn't realise what it was for. My Father had an old sailing schooner which he used to trade to the Islands. Went back a few years ago and it's full of yachts! Good to hear you have a hint of the old Guernsey accent. Alright eh!

Beautiful! Next time you do your garlic mushrooms put a nice big drizzle of balsamic over them. It gives them a rich nutty caramelised mushroom taste.

Hey, Smash (and Puppy Smash) I have a tip for you when it comes to breading & frying: (2) Separate Bowls Needed - In (1) Bowl: 2 Eggs (whisked) in Second Bowl: Mix Flour with Corn Meal (half and half) Now: Dip meat in Eggs - Then dip meat into flour / cornmeal then - do steps 1 & 2 again (so you have double-dipped). Then: place breaded meat onto grease (make sure the grease has a good scald first!) then fry until crispy and consume! Regards - J.P.H.
