    Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

    I’m wondering how many tubes of Loctite, how much polycrylic, how much paint, how much primer for this project? I don’t want to end up putting the project on hold to wait for more supplies. Thanks so much for this tutorial. I love it.

    • @ErinSpainDIY
      @ErinSpainDIY  4 роки тому

      One tube of Loctite and a quart of each (paint, primer, Polycrylic).

    Can this be put together without any legs at all? I want to use it as a dresser and put a tv on it and I think it would be to tall with the legs. I just wonder if it would have enough support on the bottom and if the bottom drawer would still open. Great tutorial by the way!

    • @ErinSpainDIY
      @ErinSpainDIY  3 роки тому

      It should be fine, but I would still cut the legs flush to the bottom and attach those or you will have noticeable gaps in each corner. Hope that makes sense.

    • @ErinSpainDIY

      Yes I would use water-based polycrylic or furniture paste wax over white paint.

    5:03, you could have turned the dresser front to the ground so that the weight of the dresser glues the part together.... you know? :D just a tip

    • @ErinSpainDIY
      @ErinSpainDIY  2 роки тому +1

      I wouldn’t recommend doing that as it could shift out of place and once the glue sets you can’t shift it at all. This allows you to be very precise about your placement.

    • @BrimstoneMoth
      @BrimstoneMoth 2 роки тому

      @@ErinSpainDIY Hmm okay is a good point too, I guess depends if the surface is flat and the drawer rests balanced on the surface otherwise any irregularities will make it shift out and glue off place.

  • @audrablue515
    @audrablue515 4 роки тому +2

    That was a pretty awesome makeover. The piece looks stunning now. I was a little shocked though, that you were using power tools and strong glues but you didn't put your hair back out of the way or use a mask or safety goggles. Not very responsible, considering you will reach a wide audience and a lot of people might be beginners who don't have any experience with furniture makeovers.

    • @ErinSpainDIY
      @ErinSpainDIY  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks! Anytime I was actually using power tools, I did have on safety gear and my hair back. Any footage you see without that is in between when I am not operating the tools.

      You could buy an inexpensive circular saw and that would be sufficient for all sorts of projects! You could always use a hand saw but it would be a lot more laborious and time consuming.
