This is why the Green Bay Packers have a loyal fan base. The NFL outlawed this but its a great way for any team to get their fans feel involved with the team.
You're buying: 1. A piece of paper you can frame and hang on the wall 2. The right to attend the Green Bay Packers annual shareholders meeting along with 3,900 (estimated) other shareholders
There is actually a loophole to the no transfer that being that if you file paperwork you can will it to an immediate family member so for example you can will it to one of your children or siblings and they will become the new shareholder
For as much money as fans of other teams spend on memorabilia that’s hanging on their walls and shelves… this is a piece of memorabilia that no other team can offer except the Green Bay Packers.
In 1923 the the Green Bay Packers set up their own public held non-profit company called: Green Bay Packers, Inc and that company owns the Green Bay Packers. And, like any other share when you have a share you become a co-owner of that company; However, with having a share and owning part of Green Bay Packers, Inc(like I do), it also means you are a co-owner of the Green Bay Packers football team.
@@rwwilson21and unlike owning shares of a company on the stock market, you don’t get dividends for owning shares of the packers. No season tickets or anything. The shht is a scam.
I bought a used Ford Mustang with mine. Traded it to an unsuspecting derp who thought it ment he was 1/100th part owner of the Packers. He thought he would be making hundreds of thousands of dollars annually as a part owner. He happily traded me a used vehicle worth 17 grand. If your reading this Jerry, u shoulda googled it 😂
It's not a scam. Nobody is buying this stock as an investment and the fact they're addressing it on here shows how dense these people are. It's a chance to support the team and get a great piece of memorabilia while also helping develop the stadium and facilities.

Unless you are a resident of WI you probably would not understand the motivations of the share holders. As the only NFL team that is publicly owned and one that has an incredibly loyal fan base it is more a point of Pride among fans to own a share of stock in the Green Bay Packers. I would guess the vast majority of share holders only own a single share and probably have the physical copy framed and proudly displayed on their wall.
