I was a nurse and had a patient who was trans. She hated her body and had such bad body dysmorphia she couldn’t use the toilet bathe or dress herself I had to do it all for her. She lived every day in sheer hell and didn’t get the help she needed. I’ve seen first hand the psychological effects it can have and it’s awful.

Gender Identity Service at the Tavistock--class-action lawsuit in the wake of the Cass Interim Review report and the closing of the GIDS. Transgender is an invented ideology that came out of academia, it is not based on any material reality, unlike sex which we all know is based on material reality. Don't conflate sex w/ gender (gender identity is made up as well) b/c that is part of the trans strategy to blur the lines b/w sex, gender, and sexuality. This is all part of a movement funded by very wealthy heterosexual male cross-dressers w/ a fetish--autogynephiles--(AGPs)--men who get aroused by imagining themselves as a woman. They are predatory and don't respect women's boundaries and appropriate women's single-sex spaces and try to appropriate womanhood itself. And most of these trans AGP female imposters are genitally-intact males. Many of them have been married and fathered children. Do not call them trans 'women' b/c they are not any kind of woman and it is insulting to women--the word woman is taken. And leave young people alone, there is no such thing as a 'trans' child, that is another invention by the cult.

If you understood anything you would realize that is just a lie, nobody is medically experimenting on children, the same puberty drugs have been used since the 1950's for those with a rare condition that caused early onset puberty, the earliest known case hitting puberty at 5 years old.
There are plenty of documentary's on YT made by families that have a trans child, but you do not even want to know about anything, so are preaching from a position of ignorance and spite, thinking any parent would force being Gender Dysphoria on their child is just moronic.

Let me play the Devil's Advocate here: the NHS is on the edge of collapse.
I think some procedures will get preference (like cancer and A&E treatment). Personally, I know two people who almost died because the hospitals would not give them a C-section during their delivery and one went into a coma (there was a max quota on how many C-sections each hospital could do and the NHS didn't want to go over that).
Another example is that I have an NHS dentist and he barely covers anything and most patients can't at our practice can't book appointments in the NHS slots as the demand is too high. People who don't have money can't afford a cleaning, but if they could, they wouldn't need more expensive treatments down the line.
When I needed ankle surgery, I couldn't get it through the NHS and had to pay for private care. I was fortunate that I had that insurance at that time otherwise I wouldn't be able to have that same surgery today.
Basically, many people are being abandoned because the NHS is stretched so thin.

Respectfully, while you are partly right the trans side of things is one of the few areas where trans people have had to campaign for better treatment from the very start. The NHS implemented gender clinics after being sued for not providing these things, and went on to be incredibly abusive in the healthcare we got. Back in the 80s you can find videos of what assessments were like and the whole thing's been run like a job interview for decades after that if not still today. Unnecessary genital exams, questions about how people masturbate, turning trans women from treatment for wearing jeans, trans men for similar bullshit I'm sure, refusing treatment to gay trans people, fat trans people, I've no doubt lots of racism with the gender stereotypes they expected you to conform to in order to be allowed treatment.
And we've seen a trans nhs commissioner talk of how her colleagues were eager to defund the gics first.

    • @siginotmylastname3969
      @siginotmylastname3969 2 роки тому +6

I will say maybe few areas is an exaggeration because we're well aware of how frequently disabled people are abandoned by it, but honestly as a trans person every part of healthcare has been so much worse. Cpns, cmhts, blood tests, surgery, chronic illness, paperwork (changing names, getting a doctor's note(fucking archaic) to allow change of gender on passport) I just expect it to be traumatic.

@@siginotmylastname3969 I'll admit my bias. But please take my question as earnest.
Why are adults who wish to de-transition, treated as pariahs, problematic and categorised as "failures to adapt to their post transition selves",
Required to attend more counselling and psychiatric sessions as an adult than they did when a legal minor to start and progress transition?
Why is it harder to prove you are not trans and merely "unfashionably gay"(I said I was biased) as an adult, than it is to have the your adolescent trans fad affirmed and indulged?
I see this like the death penalty, some people on death row are innocent, you surely must concede that some, however small a minority you care to acknowledge aren't actually trans.
Waiting times in the NHS are an arse whatever your predicament but why does treating genuine trans people require less checks and balances at the expense of those who are genuinely confused and suffering from mental health issues.
There has to be a reason why the post transition suicide rate is higher than for those declared trans and awaiting treatment.
Please accept this as a sincere question from someone who really can be a troll but is genuinely curious and is of an age to be very jaded in many spheres I ask you, as your previous reply in this thread was polite and measured.
Should you simply not care to or believe me or want to (it's just YT after all) I will merely wish good health to you and yours.
Edit: when I say "your" trans fad, I speak of a hypothetical patient in this very inadequate medium of discussion. @@bobdrooples the reason you have to qualify your argument so much is because it's ridiculous and from completely unreasonable perspectives.
Transition is so ludicrously different to a fucking execution and I hope you're ashamed around your trans friends.
People CHOOSE to transition, yes including all detransitioners who later identify with their agab. Because they think it'll benefit them even in a society where it's treated as disgusting or terrifying. Detransitioners can be treated badly by various trans people but on a systemic level the people hurting them most are transphobes. Because they speak of them with disgust behind their backs and think they're necessary sacrifices in order to continue misgendering and abusing trans people.
There's nothing about being trans that inherently makes us a threat to detransitioners. That's not true for transphobes, but even so as a trans person I have no ill will towards them. I think they usually choose proactively to medically transition because that's the evidence, but I also think they have a right to feel however about their bodies because we know feelings of wrongness about sex characteristics are difficult to deal with and everything about making sure detransitioners don't transition is probably going to feel shit for those who do, because they must have told many people they won't change their minds to get to that point. And as a system we don't have the expected view of our gender or transition so are hurt by having to declare that as well. When most of this shit isn't biological only and is subject to people changing their minds but we're so restricted by others wanting to force us into the one socially affirmed option for us.
I do think you're a troll though, doesn't matter what that means there's no rational discussion to be had by someone who labels me with beliefs I don't have, compares my hormones and plans with forced death penalties and calls it a fad. The fad is gender roles and shit not us.

@@bobdrooples uuh...I don't know where you're getting your info from but its wrong. Trans Healthcare has been being refined since 1940, that doesn't mean it is and was perfect but because of it being studied for so long these detransitioners are less than 1% and indicative of why we need proper trans Healthcare. Trans Healthcare is also not easy to obtain in general.
I know two trans people in my life and 1 had to wait months just to get declined for hrt, the other can't really afford Healthcare in general. suicide and detransitioning mostly occurs due to lack of peer and social acceptance, a study done by the national survey of lgbt youth for 2022. Anybody noticed how the whole trans thing (at least as far as children are concerned) seems to be going really quiet lately? Since the mess surrounding the Tavistock (inevitably) became known to the general public and the hormone treatments they used to offer came to a halt not long after the start of the pandemic, there've been *zero reports* about all the young people's suicides the trans lobby were warning us about. In the light of the Molly Russell case, it certainly wouldn't be a good idea for any agency to be raising unneccessarily the issue of suicide in relation to children.

This is a burner account and UA-cam removed my last reply so I'm going to be semi ambiguous with my terminology as to not offend the UA-cam Gods. Please bare with me.
I've been wanting to commit the death (yes I have to phrase it like this, blame YT) since I was 15; I'm 18 now having having turned 18 last Wednesday. I've tried to do actually commit this 3 different times throughout the last 3 years. The first time my Mum was home unexpectedly and stopped me. The second time my friend talked me out of it. The third time, nobody stopped me except my fear of pain. I still want to do it and infact if i was give a painless way to do it I'd do it right now.
Now why is this relevant? I'd be lying if I didn't say Gender Dysmorphia has absolutely played a role in it. I hate and have a disgust for my body. If I had a switch that I could flip that would change my sex with no social repercussions then I'd do it without a shadow of a doubt. I feel many people in my situation would do the same or something similar if such a fantasy where to come true. However this is reality and reality really sucks. Some of us can't take it, I feel like I'm one of those people.
Now what's my point? I guess my point is that I'm a personal anecdote for someone struggling. Had it not been for random chance I'd likely be an additional tally on your 'zero report' statistic but I digress. I'm not here to have an argument, heck I wouldn't blame you If you thought I was mad in the head and you might be right; I don't know. I just possess a great desire to be the opposite sex; a desire of such weight that its sinking me to the bottom of the Atlantic. Take what you will from this, I just wanted to write my mind. Goodnight.

I support Trans people, but as someone who works in medicine, I have to correct the misinformation around puberty blockers. Unfortunately they are not reversible. When you take puberty blockers, they stop the maturation of sex organs, which leads to infertility and long-term effects on the brain, bone density and musculature. There just isn't enough research done in general, but the clinical evidence available demonstrates that puberty blockers are hazardous to long-term health. This is especially the case for females, who require oestrogen to maintain bone density. Any medical claims in journalism such as this needs to be based on clinical evidence. Otherwise, people can not make informed decisions.

The most hateful reactions and opinions i encountered here are these who have an irrational and immense hate for example against trans*men who give birth to a human being. more specifically: who are trans* and "dare" to claim their human right to reproduce at the same time. Lots of people know what they want but they don’t necessarily know what’s best for them… especially young people. The need for instant gratification undermines the (almost) guaranteed disaster that awaits those who have not yet lived long enough to even begin to understand who they are, life, and where they fit into it all. And there is some stupid myth regarding other people knowing who and what they are, and what they want to do with their lives. Yes, some of these miracle-people DO exist… maybe… somewhere, but I’ve yet to meet one, and I’m 59. And, at this rather mature age, I still don’t know who/what I am, what I want to do with the rest of my life, what I’m capable of doing at this stage of my life and how I fit into the grand scheme of things. That, dear people, is the nature of life. But give life a long enough chance to let you weave yourself through the minefield that we all traverse before making irreversible mistakes. Remember, fools rush in where angels fear to tread. Peace out 🙏🏼❤️

There are people that are in pain from cancer, too. It's ok to wait. Many of them change their minds as science shows, so it is good that they have to wait before they mutilate themselves irreversibly. People do care, but it is better to wait than to make the biggest mistake of your life. Many trans after a while try to detrans. Puberty blockers are very dangerous. It's better to wait at least until a person is a grown up. Mutilating children should be illegal.

This is one of the many disasters of socialized medicine. Neither insurance nor government should be paying for these surgeries, which I believe are for adults only. Trans people, desiring surgery need to come up with the money for such a thing themselves. Many trans. People in the states have to work two or three jobs to get it. To go through such a process builds character. Anything worth having is worth working for. Gimme got his neck broke messing with the kin folk. That’s my two cents and you’re free to hate me for it.

My bottom dysphoria caused expansive & expensive health issues due to how it affected my physical sense of fight or flight. That's all preventable but bs ignorance ruins it for everyone for no reason. That needs to stop.

@@jj-bv3ui Okay how is plastic surgery like removing 15 year old girls perfectly healthy breasts and nipples necessary health care? I know the huge risks of top and bottom surgery and the huge amount of life changing risks. Even well knows trans people like jazz Jennings has no feeling whatsoever from sexual activity. Something they were robbed from that every young adult should experience for themselves. She never will. Or the trans man who wanted a penis so he could pee standing up up and ended with such devastating complications they had to have countless corrective surgeries and having to have a urinal tract put in their backside. Or
the long term effects of puberty blockers like 20 year olds having menopause or spines that don’t fuse properly. I don’t care about dental work! If adults want plastic surgery to modify their bodies with their minds? Great go ahead. If trans people want to access these treatments I have no issue. This push however from the top down that children and teenagers need these treatments when some are affirmed and accepted for treatment after one meeting with a clinician. That’s isn’t right. Just know what gender affirming care means for young people who are being influenced from social media, school and the culture around them when they may not be ready for it.
