Forgive is Biblical, forget is not. You can still remember you just have to be healed enough and made whole that it doesn't cause you any pain. Jesus had scars that reminded Him and others of what He went through for us, but it didn't hurt anymore. He forgave and overcame.
Unforgiveness is like a cancer that eats at your mind. Our Lord commanded us to forgive others, not for their benefit, but for ours. When you hold unforgiveness in your heart, you are in bondage, but when you forgive, it releases you from that bondage. If you can’t forget, you are apt to revisit those negative feelings from time to time. Better to forgive and forget and move on.
Asking for prayer could not sleep pain in my hip. I wish I could forget last night LO.L replacement surgery very close. I wish you could find someone To mow the yard But I can see that you're a perfactionist.It's so beautiful Maybe your daughter could help.. I'll be watching you from the hospital. If I have wronged anyone I have no hesitation in asking their forgiveness. There are so many times it is difficult to forgive due to the severity of the pain. This is when I have had to ask God’s help in forgiving. At my age and my poor health I certainly don’t want anything to hinder my entrance into that Holy and Beautiful City. I am happy to hear that the antibiotics are doing their job in making you feel better, Marie. I have a severe ant problem in my yards (front & back) as well and have had to sprinkle granules to deal with it. I still see them. I don't see mounds but do see ant holes scattered here and there, and I see them underneath some of my brickwork. They may be regular ants, not the fire ants you're referring to. I have to google that, to ascertain the distinction. Weather here now is in the mid-eighties but humidity is high, yesterday being 88 percent. Looking forward to hearing your question-answer video on Monday.
I did watch the Wednesday (I think) grocery haul when you both hand the sausage McMuffin. I really enjoy watching the price, the total, and the journey. Yes, it does take time to get it all done. I am looking forward to your Q&A. The temperature here in Washington state is 101, yesterday was 104. It has not rained in 2 months. We had lots of fire ants problems in our yard when we lived in Florida(we lived 20 miles from Alabama line). There are no fire ants here in Washington state.

I really look forward to Sunday morning when I get to see you guys. This past week has been a rough one. I have trouble sleeping many nights, When that happens I struggle to stay awake the next day. If someone drops by to visit with me I go to sleep trying to talk to them. They Say they understand, but it still embarrasses me. Calvin you really should watch out for the pollen when you are outside cutting grass and doing other things, I am not trying to tell you what to do,just passing on what the Dr. told me. Last week I had a Drs, appointment and it was such a nice day I rode with my window down in the car. I knew better, but we just don’t think sometimes. The next morning I felt so bad and have been wizzing ever since . It gets so loud sometimes it seems as though someone is talking to me. You look pretty today Marie, I am glad you are feeling good and will be going to the shower , please remember to tell us how it went. Calvin, don’t worry about long videos, we love those. I enjoyed your message today as always. Yes it is really hard to forgive, especially when forgiveness is not ask for. Glad you finally got some rain. Some folks in Oka.and Tex. Forgiveness isn't for the person that did us wrong. It is for us to begin to heal. I learned that when my husband and I divorced because of his abuse and constant cheating. Once I forgave him I was able to start healing. Don't overdo it Calvin. When I overdo myself I am down for a couple of days. I got to where I can't be out in the heat for long because I feel sick like I am having a heat stroke and start feeling sick to my stomach.

I appreciate the devotion you shared in this video. I have always found it easy to forgive others but I do have one incident that I haven’t been able to let go of. It happened about 10 years ago and ended up causing me to lose someone very special in my life. Lately it has been on my mind so much and When I think about the hours, days, months and years that this has troubled and scared my heart it causes me to rethink how I pray and how I ask for Gods help and forgiveness. I believe that God used you to help me today. I say all of this to say a huge thank you for your honesty and your willingness to do what you do. May God continue to bless you in your daily life and you will be in mine and my husbands prayers. ❤️🙏

I have not been able to forgive people who have caused me pain and I respectfully disagree with you about forgiving people across the board. I believe for someone to be forgiven they must first truly repent and ask for forgiveness and make amends to those they wronged. Otherwise there are no consequences to deliberately, intentionally, and knowingly committing atrocities on others. I am continually disgusted seeing on the news, following a school shooting, a ridiculous person holding a sign which reads “you are forgiven”. What a crock!! One should never forgive or forget what Hitler, Bin Laden, school shooters, mass murders or evil people do. There is evil in the world which should not be minimized by offering forgiveness for those who do not repent, otherwise we will see those evil doers in heaven. I for one will not be giving a high five to Bin Laden in heaven. Just my opinion. I am looking forward to your question and answer video. ❤

We are in a drought with 90# temperatures. Our grass is all brown and crunchy and can’t be mowed. Marie and Calvin, since peppers are coming in at farmer’s markets, I would love to see a good recipe for stuffed peppers. If you have one I know it would be good. Sweet friends it was years before i could forgive.I was either born in a orphange or take their their isnt a name of either parent. I hated them for years had to really forgive so my life could be happy . God has blessed me with 5 children 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Calvin and Marie i still wonder at 82 years who did i look like. I'm two different races i have come to realize that the reason. May God continue to keep his healing and Loving arms around both of you in Jesus name i Pray.🙏🙏🙏

I’m not sure that we have to forget the things we forgive. The remembering may in fact keep us safe. When we can remember the offense without the emotion, we have forgiven, but are less likely to walk blindly back into to same situation .

Marie, I’m wondering if your optometrist can put eye tabs or plugs in your eyes…I forget exactly what they’re called…but they’re like little tiny plugs that expand like a sponge to keep the moisture in your eyes…and keeps them from getting irritated…I didn’t realize I had dry eyes…anyway, this has helped my eyes feel so much better….just hoping this might help…❤
One of my brothers sexually molested me, he raped me from the time I was 7-11 years old. He was 14 years old at the time. He just said not to tell anyone. our dad was a truck driver. He was gone over night. We lived in Chicago at the time. My mom would take a bus to Birmingham to take care of her mom. You know, I never blamed them. I had lost those memories for years. I was in my early twenties when it all came back. I held that inside myself for a long time. I never told anyone. After a while, I did tell a few close friends. I just couldn't tell my parents. When I finally did tell my mom, she actually took it better than I was trying to get the words out. She told my dad that night. She said, that's when it hit her. I was married and had a couple kids. I wasn't afraid of my husband. I'm so thankful that I never got pregnant. I didn't know what was going on could lead to pregnancy. When my daughter, Olivia turned 7, I completely fell apart. She was a baby at 7. She's almost 31 now. Lol I had forgiven him for everything. He would come down and visit our mom for a couple weeks. I would see him and talk. I never brought that up. I never got into drugs or anything. I think I turned out okay. He passed away this past November. I had to forgive him for myself. My other brothers passed away not knowing what had happened. I'm the only one left of my parents and siblings. Actually, I am in tears writing this. Now on a happier note, I'm working on the yarn puppy, I should mail it out Thursday. I think Forgiveness without forgetting isn't really forgiveness. You can't hold something over someone if you've really forgiven. Isaiah 43:25 says "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more".

The big difference is that our new camera was on the wrong setting and I changed the settings to be more like the natural colors. Our daughter Cynthia had told me that in our videos that I looked to pale so I tried to correct it. Thanks for noticing.
It’s interesting this phrase that gets used often… is it in scripture? This catch phrase is not in scripture. Throughout scripture we are given many verses about how we are to forgive. In the context of forgive and forget is spoken of when it is referring to God over us that he will blot out our sins and remember them no more, he will put them in the depths of the sea. There are no passages that lead a believer to say they are to forget sin, but to forgive sin. We don’t forget our own sin and that remembrance causes one to be thankful he forgives us, and to remember what we were forgiven for and the consequences of our sin, the deliverance of our sin, the cost of our sin… why we don’t want to repeat our sin. If we didn’t remember sin as an example of what hurts Gods heart we would continue to repeat them and step on the grace of Christ. Our knowledge of sin, either our own or one done to us helps us to exercise a merciful and gracious heart and that remembrance keeps us in that place. If you have a verse that specifically instructs us to forgive and forget I would love it if you would share that with me. Wisdom comes through remembering and the choice we make from our testimony. So I do t believe scripture teaches us to close one’s eyes and render themselves prey to the same attacks via another’s sin towards us.

I am looking forward to your Q&A. The temperature here in Washington state is 101, yesterday was 104. It has not rained in 2 months. We had lots of fire ants problems in our yard when we lived in Florida(we lived 20 miles from Alabama line). There are no fire ants here in Washington state.

I really look forward to Sunday morning when I get to see you guys. This past week has been a rough one. I have trouble sleeping many nights, When that happens I struggle to stay awake the next day. If someone drops by to visit with me I go to sleep trying to talk to them. They Say they understand, but it still embarrasses me. Calvin you really should watch out for the pollen when you are outside cutting grass and doing other things, I am not trying to tell you what to do,just passing on what the Dr. told me. Last week I had a Drs, appointment and it was such a nice day I rode with my window down in the car. I knew better, but we just don’t think sometimes. The next morning I felt so bad and have been wizzing ever since . It gets so loud sometimes it seems as though someone is talking to me. You look pretty today Marie, I am glad you are feeling good and will be going to the shower , please remember to tell us how it went. Calvin, don’t worry about long videos, we love those.

Have needed rain so bad the ground was cracking last week, but yesterday it was storming there so they were thankful for that. We get a good shower just about every day or so. Forgiveness isn't for the person that did us wrong. It is for us to begin to heal. I learned that when my husband and I divorced because of his abuse and constant cheating. Once I forgave him I was able to start healing. Don't overdo it Calvin. When I overdo myself I am down for a couple of days. I got to where I can't be out in the heat for long because I feel sick like I am having a heat stroke and start feeling sick to my stomach.

I appreciate the devotion you shared in this video. I have always found it easy to forgive others but I do have one incident that I haven’t been able to let go of. It happened about 10 years ago and ended up causing me to lose someone very special in my life. Lately it has been on my mind so much and When I think about the hours, days, months and years that this has troubled and scared my heart it causes me to rethink how I pray and how I ask for Gods help and forgiveness. I believe that God used you to help me today. I say all of this to say a huge thank you for your honesty and your willingness to do what you do. May God continue to bless you in your daily life and you will be in mine and my husbands prayers. ❤️🙏

Marie, I am so glad you are feeling better. You looked very good today and I loved your shirt. I have not been able to forgive people who have caused me pain and I respectfully disagree with you about forgiving people across the board. I believe for someone to be forgiven they must first truly repent and ask for forgiveness and make amends to those they wronged. Otherwise there are no consequences to deliberately, intentionally, and knowingly committing atrocities on others. I am continually disgusted seeing on the news, following a school shooting, a ridiculous person holding a sign which reads “you are forgiven”. What a crock!! One should never forgive or forget what Hitler, Bin Laden, school shooters, mass murders or evil people do. There is evil in the world which should not be minimized by offering forgiveness for those who do not repent, otherwise we will see those evil doers in heaven. I for one will not be giving a high five to Bin Laden in heaven. Just my opinion.

We are in a drought with 90# temperatures. Our grass is all brown and crunchy and can’t be mowed. Marie and Calvin, since peppers are coming in at farmer’s markets, I would love to see a good recipe for stuffed peppers. If you have one I know it would be good. Sweet friends it was years before i could forgive.I was either born in a orphange or take their their isnt a name of either parent. I hated them for years had to really forgive so my life could be happy . God has blessed me with 5 children 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Calvin and Marie i still wonder at 82 years who did i look like. I'm two different races i have come to realize that the reason.

I’m not sure that we have to forget the things we forgive. The remembering may in fact keep us safe. When we can remember the offense without the emotion, we have forgiven, but are less likely to walk blindly back into to same situation .

Marie, I’m wondering if your optometrist can put eye tabs or plugs in your eyes…I forget exactly what they’re called…but they’re like little tiny plugs that expand like a sponge to keep the moisture in your eyes…and keeps them from getting irritated…I didn’t realize I had dry eyes…anyway, this has helped my eyes feel so much better….just hoping this might help…❤

One of my brothers sexually molested me, he raped me from the time I was 7-11 years old. He was 14 years old at the time. He just said not to tell anyone. our dad was a truck driver. He was gone over night. We lived in Chicago at the time. My mom would take a bus to Birmingham to take care of her mom. You know, I never blamed them. I had lost those memories for years. I was in my early twenties when it all came back. I held that inside myself for a long time. I never told anyone. After a while, I did tell a few close friends. I just couldn't tell my parents. When I finally did tell my mom, she actually took it better than I was trying to get the words out. She told my dad that night. She said, that's when it hit her. I was married and had a couple kids. I wasn't afraid of my husband. I'm so thankful that I never got pregnant. I didn't know what was going on could lead to pregnancy. When my daughter, Olivia turned 7, I completely fell apart. She was a baby at 7. She's almost 31 now. Lol
I had forgiven him for everything. He would come down and visit our mom for a couple weeks. I would see him and talk. I never brought that up. I never got into drugs or anything. I think I turned out okay. He passed away this past November. I had to forgive him for myself. My other brothers passed away not knowing what had happened. I'm the only one left of my parents and siblings. Actually, I am in tears writing this.
Now on a happier note, I'm working on the yarn puppy, I should mail it out Thursday. God bless you both always. ❤

I think Forgiveness without forgetting isn't really forgiveness. You can't hold something over someone if you've really forgiven. Isaiah 43:25 says "I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more".

It’s interesting this phrase that gets used often… is it in scripture? This catch phrase is not in scripture.
Throughout scripture we are given many verses about how we are to forgive.
In the context of forgive and forget is spoken of when it is referring to God over us that he will blot out our sins and remember them no more, he will put them in the depths of the sea.
There are no passages that lead a believer to say they are to forget sin, but to forgive sin. We don’t forget our own sin and that remembrance
causes one to be thankful he forgives us, and to remember what we were forgiven for and the consequences of our sin, the deliverance of our sin, the cost of our sin… why we don’t want to repeat our sin.
If we didn’t remember sin as an example of what hurts Gods heart we would continue to repeat them and step on the grace of Christ.
Our knowledge of sin, either our own or one done to us helps us to exercise a merciful and gracious heart and that remembrance keeps us in that place.
If you have a verse that specifically instructs us to forgive and forget I would love it if you would share that with me.
Wisdom comes through remembering and the choice we make from our testimony. So I do t believe scripture teaches us to close one’s eyes and render themselves prey to the same attacks via another’s sin towards us.
I think it means don’t ruminate on it because it would fill your mind.
