Also like the whole private property vs. publicly owned property schtick - like, maybe there's a bunch of dumb young people who are kind of clueless about it, but I don't trust the old geezers who grew up when houses were a nickel and a dime. I'm 51, and as I've gotten older I've realized that wisdom does not always come with age. Some educated people become less wise as they age because they cannot adopt any new ideas. "That's how we've always done it" is one of the most common explanations for problems we're not fixing. We need the energy and optimism and irreverence of the young combined with the expertise and patience of the old to get things done in politics.

Funny thing is, getting older, let me be more understanding of my past selves. They did as well as they could (mostly). And more understanding with other people at their place in life.
Then a friend came and told me, why be so insecure? 15 years ago you used to strongly inject you opinion on anything and now you are not sure any longer, who is right. Are you depressed. That time, I really felt like the adult in the room.... by the way, I am in my late 30s now and the more "insecure" I got, the better I became in dealing with things. And I don’t really think I need to explain that defunding the police is stupid since 22 Democrat cities defunded the police and then experienced an immediate crime spike worse than anything we’ve seen in decades. Portland for example, has had a 523% spike in homicides since defunding the police. It’s gotten so bad that democrats are trying to walk back their efforts to defund the police and blame it on Republicans, which isn’t working out so well.

I'd love to see what he would say after watching what he said again TODAY. LOL And we're supposed to vote for him YET AGAIN!??! How are his approval ratings again?

Oops. What a difference 6 months makes. The George Bridges of America hit his stride in the afternoon, had his supper at 5:00pm and then fell asleep by 8:30pm.

My father never graduated high school but got a union factory job which he worked all his life. Now that he's retired he makes around $3000/mo., the most he has ever made really in his life. And he lives very comfortably. For someone with no education and just going off common sense, he's done very well in life.

Yeah but your dad was lucky to be alive during the time workers had rights and a decent pay with benefits.

Those days are long gone for American workers. Your dad was lucky to get it while it was good.

Yeah at least most boomers will get to take advantage of social security still when they retire . For anyone 18-30 right now it’s not even a certainty that it’ll be there for us in 40 years .

Great! Those jobs don't exist anymore.

@@Mimi-cq4bg Actually the factory is still there and still running. I know that it has been sold to a different company so I don't know if the union still exists.

Ten years ago, I would've dislike this video. Now, I feel a "thumbs up" isn't nearly enough.
    On point as always, Bill.

So you think that ten years ago, you wouldn't have heard the message of the video?

The problem is that in many cases their wisdom is nullified by being out of touch with the times.
