As a Nigerian, I'm so happy this particular story has been picked and and will probably be used to encourage other kids to follow thier dreams with bravery....not caring what the world would think. I for one know what most people would call you if you're a male ballet dancer in a country like Nigeria. 😢

The boy's accent changed after a few months/years in the U.K. Learning a new language or way of speaking at a young age usually comes easily. Happy his story is being told and shared with a wider audience.

March 29th, 0926, Arizona. It is streaming on Disney+. I will be watching it after just hearing of this on NPR and watching the trailer tearfully this morning.

There are a lot of people that would condemn such a thing. But being yourself is an important trait I look for in my friends. I just wish sometimes the odds weren't pushed so far in leveling the playing field for those that are going against the status quo. The average people should be able to achieve their dreams as well❤🎉

Any scenario could've provided Rey's training over her first 19 years, and all people can focus on is what they saw onscreen.
For instance:
"The Force" guided a young lady, around 40 (maybe a young-looking 50) cycles, to Jakku. She was also strongly guided to keep her identity a secret. Rey had just finished working on a quad-jumper and cleaning it. She stepped off and almost ran right into her. Nahla was slightly brandishing her weapon on purpose to get Rey's attention.
Rey: Is that a light... [she was cut off by the young lady.]
Nahla: Shhh. It is! Although, I wouldn't want word to get around that I found this. Most of the Jedi are dead and gone. I was about ten when Order 66 happened... when the Jedi purge started. I went into hiding with my brothers. We made a living doing odd jobs for old, wealthy ladies.
Rey: Could you get me away from my master sometime and show me?
Nahla: I'll do better. I'm waiting... watching for an artifact to go through your boss... master's hands for someone. He mentioned that you needed training to defend yourself. He said he's been teaching you to fix the ships but wants you to search for parts for him. There are other scavengers here that would steal scraps from vermin to survive.
Rey [rubbing a scar on her ribs]: I know, all too well.
Nahla [continues]: I'd love to take you out now, but it's the hottest part of the day. I'll talk to old Unkar and see if we can go out for a few hours in the morning when it's cool. By the way, my name's Nahla. It's nice to meet you, Rey!

Just cancelled Disney Plus. The new terms make it not worth the price. You Amazon Prime'd yourself. Disney has been a sinking ship for awhile now. March 2024 will be the true beginning of its end. Too much crap content not worth the price. Whoever the decision makers are, have to be trying to ruin the company on purpose.
