Love Cloud Defensive! They are some awesome patriots!
They make great products
Well done on the comparisons!! Just the video I needed to see. Thank you
Appreciate you watching!
Hope you're able to compare the rein 3 with the rein 3 micro, surefire turbos and the HRT light, I believe those are the best lights that have the higher candela ratings with the rein 3 seemingly having the edge in actual output, HRT having a little more lumens but less candela and the surefire besting them with battery life.
I will try to do more light reviews as I get my hands on more, thanks for the feedback and recommendations!
My man. This video has me instantly subscribed. Yer ending is perfect, especially when yer pondering $200+ 😕
I appreciate it! I just always try to keep it logical 😅
I see you. 👀👀👀 Great video, was looking for reviews of this light and found your video. Subscribed and watched some of your old videos. Keep it up and good luck on your channel!
I appreciate it! It’s definitely a process, learning and trying to get better at it. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Great comparison! I just got my Rein 3.0 yesterday. It's a beast.
Thanks! Hope it does good for you!
Says that it comes with an mlok torrent mount now… is this true? Cause that’s what I need
Seems to be so
Thanks for the video. my Surefire Scout Pro is bright and the perfect compromise in/outdoors, my CD Rein 3.0 is overwhelming indoors (that's not necessarily a negative, unless you have sensitive eyes especially waking up from a deep sleep), and excellent outdoors. Could you do a follow up video indoors? I would love to get your thoughts on the Rein 3.0 in that use case.
Thanks for watching! I appreciate the feedback and the suggestion. I will see if I can make it happen
Great video, I enjoy the format and style. The only constructive criticism I have is your video is a bit too dark.
I appreciate the feedback!
good test but i could probably afford the 2.0 cloud the 3.0 is a $250 more I think the 2.0 is good enough.
You’re absolutely right, that’s why I never bought a 3.0. My 2.0 does a great job, but there’s a definitive difference comparing the two
@@TNRay Yes that is correct 3.0 is definetly way better to see with but I m not rich enough for it.
What was in that first baggy on the top when you were unboxing it? Whatever it is mine didn’t come with it.
Those were the nuts for the switch, where the screws go through the body, you put those on the other side of the switch.
What back up front iron is on the rifle with the surefire 600 scout light? Bro bo low riders?
That’s it!
Rein 3.0 or the OWL? Torn between the 2
What’s the purpose? I think only time an owl makes sense is if you’ve got limited rail space
OWL is heavier, has lower output, and is much less flexible in mounting options. For me it would be an easy choice.
@@doktorfaustus ^^^ What this guy said. Rein is King. OWL is a cool concept and maybe a little more bomb proof. But unless you're throwing your rifle into center of Hiroshima, get the Rein.
they dont even make the OWL anymore
They’ve still been releasing limited numbers of their high output owls over the last few months
Clear cut comparisons welp i'm going broke again
That’s what I’m here for 😉 lol at least you’re making informed decisions!
hey bro, dakota, u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , how much is the 3.0 rein b.t.w. ?, i have 250 $ worth of blades/etc to trade for one here , only have email here , whats the lumens on that light ?, and what size batt. does it have in it ? , talk soon > tom !
Hey Tom! Thank you for your service.
The rein 3.0 is about 400 beans new. While this is pricey, it is the brightest light I’ve seen in person by far, and has an incredible throw. And it’s made right here in the USA.
1250 lumens, 100,000 candela
Uses an 18650 rechargeable lithium battery
@@TNRay hey bro, do you have anything to trade , i want a modlite or cloud or a surefire light in really high lumens , i can swap/trade blades and a 50 $ gerber multi-tool if need be , i e.d.c. a klarus g15/4000 lumens light now , talk soon bro > tom !
It’s not all about lumens. The more the candelas the tighter and brighter the hotspot. If you could trade your kidney I’ll buy you a REIN 3.0 and OKW!
@@WisSota_Boy i have a klaus g15 n a olight warrior mini 3 i e.d.c. , talk soon > tom !
I've got a couple Modlite 18650 PLHv2's and a proper camera in the Memphis area if you'd like to do a true comparison vs the Rein 3.0 18650.
Comparing 18650 rein 3 vs a 18350 Modlite is kinda amateurish.
I made it very well known this wasn’t an apples to apples test. This was a test comparing the lights I had available to me.
I film with a “proper camera”. All settings were the same between every test. All batteries on all lights were fresh/fully charged. All color grading was manipulated to the exact same settings.
I did this as fair as I could. I also didn’t talk bad about the modlite one time, so don’t think this was to make them look bad. Just because I own a rein, and don’t own a modlite doesn’t mean I made the test biased in any way. Like I said, multiple times throughout the video, the modlite shouldn’t have performed up to the same level as either rein due to battery size. Thanks for your comment, and thank for your offer.
@@TNRay You did just fine, even if you don't know it yourself. According to Modlight, the only difference between their 18650 and 18350 lights (using the same head) is the runtime. If you test a Modlight head for a minute or two using either battery, all the output characteristics will be the same. That someone calls you "amateurish" without knowing or bothering to research such a basic fact is amusing in a way.
@@doktorfaustus I appreciate it
I have a bunch of Modlites. I also have a bunch of Clouds, but not the 3.0. My unit was comparing them for penetrating into depth through small thresholds (tired of getting shot through cracked doors) and my TL got the 3.0 a few weeks ago.
The PLHv2 was good at illuminating the doorway and you could tell something was beyond it. The OG REIN could see a hand but not clearly enough to see what was in it, and the 3.0 had the ability to get the bad guy to squint, which we could see from behind the weapon, even when the door was only open far enough to get the slide of a glock through it.
It's an unbelievable jump in capability.
Thanks for bringing your experience to the table!
