I so surprised the SF died like that. I've had my SF scout DF take hits on more barricades than I can count, even a spill out the side of a moving car. I hope you guys get some word back from them because I really want to know what went wrong with it. Either way, amazing video as always guys! I do have a question though. Did you guys by chance remove the tail-cap and check the back spring? The main issue that I have run into with SF lights is that the contact spring can, upon taking its first spill, get knocked around and move backwards a bit. This makes it so tail-cap cannot activate the light. This is also why the momentary pads sometimes produce less output vs their tail-cap counterparts. The solution that works best, as I've found at least, is to take a small pair of pliers and slightly tug the spring to make it a smidge longer.
Interesting observation: I carry my modlite EDC with a thrym switchback and it has survived quite a few substantial falls while occasionally denting the top of the batteries. Streamlights consistently test out well for us. Quality is always at or near the top, and many LE departments rely upon them. I appreciate Surefire as well, so I was surprised with the failure in this testing.
@@WerkzHolsters I’m not sure how many would tune in for a live light test. Your videos do a good job with that. Maybe a AMA livestream would be something that people would show up for. Personally I watch UA-cam when I have free time. There are very few instances where I would make specific time in my schedule just to watch a prerecorded video, ya know? The problem with these premieres is that there is no value added for watching at a specific time versus watching when it’s convenient for you.
Used the streamlight micro for years until the clip started to get lose and it eventually fell out of my pocket. People complaining about candelas or lumens need to understand its not about lumens when it comes to LEDs. I just bought a surefire 😢
Man I was gunna upgrade all my Streamlights to surefire, now I’m a little concerned it’s a downgrade tbh.
Streamlights consistently test out well for us. Quality is always at or near the top, and many LE departments rely upon them. I appreciate Surefire as well, so I was surprised with the failure in this testing.
I love your channel but hate premiere's unless you are going to be livestreaming. Just another thing showing up on my timeline that I can't watch.
Thanks for the feedback! Question: If we were to do a livestream, what would you want to see? Light testing? Something else?
@@WerkzHolsters I’m not sure how many would tune in for a live light test. Your videos do a good job with that. Maybe a AMA livestream would be something that people would show up for. Personally I watch UA-cam when I have free time. There are very few instances where I would make specific time in my schedule just to watch a prerecorded video, ya know?
The problem with these premieres is that there is no value added for watching at a specific time versus watching when it’s convenient for you.
@@Stealther I think the only value is in live interaction while watching with me. But yes, your points are well taken. Thanks much for the feedback!
I bought a surefire last week 😒
Any word from surefire? Rather bizarre they wouldn't get back to you.
Every time I watch your videos I think that the expensive lights really are not worth it. For me at least.
Want to see some tests of weltool light.
Used the streamlight micro for years until the clip started to get lose and it eventually fell out of my pocket.
People complaining about candelas or lumens need to understand its not about lumens when it comes to LEDs.
LEDs are completely inaccurate when it comes to Lumens
My micro streamlight with 250 lumens was stronger than most 1000 lumens
damn, surefire busted after 2 drops?! isn't it supposed to be a military/weapons light made in the usa? wtf. i also saw another vid of a surefire that stopped working after one upwards toss. if it's gonna be that cheap they really shouldn't be charging so much for their lights, they're crazy expensive.
Cloud Defensive MCH rated at 100ft/24hrs.
WTF😮
tajam bersinar...
Not a very scientific test but still intersting to see.
Honestly, newer Surefire flashlights are not as reliable as the older Surefire flashlights.
Im a streamlight kinda guy there on all my stuff
I still think SureFire products are for clout only. I would prefer to buy American, but the prices SF charges just makes them low value to a non-US govt purchaser.
Throw in a olight warrior x3
I'll be taking some data on the Warrior 3S today (yes I know not quite the same) and video should be published soon.
@@WerkzHolsters I'd like to see olights matched up vs these usa made lights. Just for fun.
@@subaruforester5062 We publish all the data... and eventually we'll build a page with things consolidated as well for easy comparison.
Do olight
I'll get Olight into the queue for testing!
@@WerkzHolsters any updates?
Thoughts on the Nightstick?
Nightstick makes solid products. We do have some reviews of them in our channel.
Weep Surefire boys 😂
Surefire is the most expensive and failed first. Thats sad lol
Fenix beats all 😂
Plz no jokes about being dented in the rear 🤣
Just trying to keep it "light" (pun intended). 8p
STREAMLIGHT LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO
'Pre-Cog' is guessing the Surefire survived the test and won over the competition.
I'll be interested to hear what you think after you watch the results!
@@WerkzHolsters Honestly, I had a good laugh when the Surefire failed and realized that most of the cost of a Surefire must surely be in its sales ads. For me, this test gave a new perspectives on quality and durability. THUMBS UP on the video..!!
@@wonkachocolates6133 If / when I get definitive data on the Surefire, I'll pin a comment.
They werkz no longer
Ha!
surefire money goes to bribing government officials instead of theyre flashlights😂
Add fenix pd32v2 pls
