Sadly it doesn't use sapphire, and me along with a lot of other people don't wanna spend $100+ on a Chinese watch that doesn't have sapphire. Same problem as Merkur, they too don't have sapphire on a lot of their watches. Bracelet seems really nice. I love the quick-release bracelet, I have it on my SKXMOD Casio Royale bracelet as well. Also, I don't think Seiko cares about anything other than making money, otherwise they would use sapphire a lot more. Nice review as always, keep up the good work :)
My watch was purchased 2 years ago from MaMaCoo and, to this day, it still looks and runs as well as it did the day it arrived. That movement has never missed a beat despite never having been serviced. I can't complain about that.
Excellen t and thorough review It's a nice looking watch, good dial, like the big crown and a decent bracelet but from a microbrand, sapphire is the distinguishing feature from the Seiko 5 range Mineral crystal isnt good enough particularly for $200. Is Seiko worried? Well, as Seiko Epson Corp is supplying the movement doubt if they're having any sleepless nights over any microbrand. The bad lume is a nail in the coffin. Bundle all the microbrands together, most of them using Seiko movements, and they probably don't even represent a half days sales of Seiko watches, which is unfortunate as while it's like that we'll never see a sapphire crystal on a Seiko 5 level watch. This watch is a good buy with the mineral crystal and decent low cost movement at around $110, same as the prices of the old Seiko 5. 200 bucks is double what it's worth.
I think the dial is very nice. I like the straight brushed silver theme, I even like the style of script for Zezame. The bracelet, in my opinion is excellent and if a bracelet has to have a taper, for me, 2mm is the most. I do not like 4+ mm tapers. I love a big crown and this Zezame has got a big-un. Now, what I don't like. The clasp. I like a clasp with at least 4 micro adjustments, preferably more. Mineral crystal. I'll have this thing scratched within days of getting it and completley scratched over in a year. Epson movement. Why not an NH35 at this price. Lastly, the price. Enjoyed it. Hoping for a V2. Thanks
I was between this and the Taigeer last sale. I ended up picking the Taigeer and I'm glad I did. You should review it, I'm quite sure it'll impress you 😁😁
@@EscapeWheel let me try to convince you. When was the last time have you handled a watch that has a crown where the logo lines up perfectly every time you screw it? The TAIGEER does it every time without a fail. That's how far they've gone with the details. 🤓
@@R023N it's been while...lol. what color did you go for? The C65 dune in that sand color does weird things to me...I'm wondering if the milk white or whatever they call it is close to the CW
@@EscapeWheel I got the matt black, white look a little greyish. I got the date dial. The little index under the date fades rather quickly, if that matters to you. The sunburst dials seem to have white lume which I assume will be better.
In my country in Europe, it's ~€330 (without the ~25€ for the delivery). So at this price i'll better go to buy and prefer a Seiko or a Citizen. There are qualities here but it has no chance of being sold on my continent

Seiko couldn't give a damn. They've been pushing out poor quality products for insane prices for over a decade and people are still dumb enough to pay those prices because of apparent heritage which means absolutely nothing in reality. Poor materials, none existent quality control, shocking customer service.

They have a sapphire version now. 👍🏽
It’s a stunning watch! And although a mineral crystal isn’t a deal breaker, a sapphire may have been a deal maker for me. Thanks for the great review!

Just wait for the AliX sales. It's a lot cheaper during the sales.
Love what they are doing, they just previewed a beautiful square watch on reddit but that names gotta go. Maybe a stylized 'Z'?
What is that brand name. Without reading the title and only looking at the watch i thought the brand was "Legume"
No sapphire, the midcase is too thick, and to my eye the branding is funky. Not for me.
Zezame fixed the branding on their next watch (and say they are adding sapphire crystal).

Ordered the blue one on steel bracelet one week ago for $158 incl VAT, a pretty good deal imho. Now the waiting game... ;)
@@mikaeljonsson4686 haha, the hardest part
I would prefer 36-37mm and 10mm thick watch of the same design.
Sapphire without ar coating is worse than mineral crystal btw. Glare is crazy on sapphire
Sapphire would be nice. Then again Seiko doesn't have it either.
Mineral crystal + poor lume + $200 = OVERPRICED! This at best is a >$100 watch.
@@vincea2092 they have upgraded to sapphire for the same price.

To bad it literally translates to "kidding me" in my language.
@@milanioom lol, that's hilarious 🤣
As a broke boy and actual enthusiast who wants watch’s prices to crater, amzwatch is a good choice.
For the type of watch it is to be almost 13 mm thick is ridiculous. Dishwash should be 11 1/2 mm or less. Nobody wants a cinder block on their wrist
It is similar to an Addiesdive AD2038, but more than triple the price.
nothing to do with that one man!
It’s a bit expensive for the specs ya…
Sorry no mineral I don’t a single mineral crystal watch that isn’t scratched
If you wore it correctly it would not dig in your hand. Just saying. Nice watch.
I don't like dial
Just get a sharp edge Seiko on Chrono for 600.
