In 1975, just before my seventh birthday, my Dad asked me if I wanted a clown for my birthday party. I thought about it, and decided I was too "grown up" for clowns, and that was that. The clown would have been John Wayne Gacey. My Dad's business took him all over Chicago and while he was in Des Plaines, he would occasionally stop at a diner that Gacey frequented. They had struck up a loose friendship, and when he found out about Gacey being a clown, he had asked me about having him at my birthday. When the news broke about Gacey, Dad couldn't initially believe it. Of course the overwhelming evidence eventually changed his mind, and he got this dark look every time Gaceys name was mentioned. Dad never said as much, but I think he was angry at himself that someone that evil had flown under his radar. I kind of regret saying no now, as a grown man, but it was probably for the best.
Who needs cryptids and make-believe monsters when real ones walk among us?

Hellior is a great series done by Greg and Dana Newkirk. They have an amazing haunted objects museum which also is a traveling one and a podcast on UA-cam of the same name. They have been on many Paranormal shows and really are just cool people.

I have a fear that the goblins were actually baby barn owls, as they can look pretty weird and creepy, especially if you saw them in the dark. Like picture if that was the truth, and they shot up a bunch of baby owls and didn't realize it.
That bell in front of the Bell Witch book makes me think of the meme of Lisa Simpson looking at the "Cane from Citizen Kane"

Always enjoy these kind of museums.
I own the same ghost hunting equipment. The spirit box does flip between stations and sort of distorts voices. What you think is a spirit talking may only be a voice from an actual radio station that has been distorted. I fell for it for the the longest time. As far as the spirit box (I have the exact same one as shown in this video) I use the box to mess with people now. This is why a lot of ghost hunters stopped using the spirit box. To easy to fake and feed on someones mind.

Flat woods monster & Hobkinsville goblins were always my favorite cryptids as a kid & still to this day. Never forget the book I had in elementary school summarizing the goblin incident with artist rendered pictures. I was terrified of them.😅

My sister worked in that building for many years as a librarian. I shot a documentary there about the paranormal. It's a very active location. One of the librarians died in her office in the basement, and a little boy was shot and killed with a bow and arrow on the property.
Where can I find your documentary? I'm very interested in seeing it.
