I like the gameplay mechanic here. Basically, you have to make it to the end of each level, and you are shown how many kilometers the enemy soldiers are away from capturing you.
@@alanbareiro6806 They ARE in cars, or rather, trucks. The truck convoy you see from the demo scenes between stages are the enemies' main force who got tricked away by false intelligence, and the timer means how soon they would come back.
1st mission: They sent us in to save the Colonel with machine guns and grenades. 2nd mission: We got sent to an alien world with grenades and bazookas to start with. 3rd mission: They just sent us in with bare hands, thankfully most of the militant enemy we're fighting don't have guns either now, must be the Koreans from P.O.W.
5:07 This game honestly looks pretty cool, but I dunno about 19 rounds from an M16 being able to blow up a TANK. What's the armor made out of? Tinfoil? 6:47 That was Van Damme-esque stuff right there.

What in God's name was that. As a kid, I loved Ikari Warriors, but victory road sucked hard. This one looked even worse. Where the heck are the weapons? This dude 1-punches entire armies.. I think his hands would get sore.
*Ikari 2 Victory Road is infinitely better than this game. They went into interdimensional left-field with that one and the weapons were way better. I consider SAR Search and Rescue to be the true sequel to Ikari 2 not this.*

Yeah, that rotating joystick made this game great. I wonder if there's something equivalent today, even for building your own arcade.
There is also an arcade cabinet with 8-way joystics and buttons.

Despite being an Ikari game this one always felt more like a sequel to SNK's POW to me.
One observation: In the game, the hero looks like Rambo but in the custscenes, he looks like Chuck Norris.

+VGMStudios33 The KM meter shows how far away the enemy is from capturing you. If the KM meter reaches zero, you are captured, and you lose the game.
