That No Hype1 for being so cost effective looks amazing from what I can tell
I just can't believe a $15 coating is holding up in the test!!
Thanks for the updates.
Thanks for showing the direct mount of the GG BOSS cannon to the product bottle. Just remember always to put water in the big bottle and rinse out the cannon filters to keep it working.
Thanks for the update!
Thanks for the continued updates Jamie!
The fact that you’ve been able to keep all those coatings and sealants organized…knowing which one is where…that’s impressive-I’d have to have a chart lol love these reviews!!!
to me it looked like Max was the best it wasnt forming anything behind the impact and was just beads. CCI was 2nd has its forming of a bit of a sheet of water was slightly smaller than C6 and c6 was 3rd as the sheet behind the impact was just slightly larger than CCI
100%
All 3 of the heavy-hitters had great water behavior, but for the price point C6 Hydro Lite looks just a touch behind the other two based on water behavior alone. It was hard to tell because you cut away a little too soon, but I think C6 had the most beads left on the surface after you stopped spraying. Hydrophobics isn't everything, but C6 just seems a little "sticky" (for lack of a better term) for those last remaining individual beads after the bulk of the water drops off.
Definitely curious to see what other differentiations might come to light as time goes on.
Thanks for the direct mount onto the Frostbite demo. I thought it would work well but that was spectacularly well.
Really liking the No Hype Coating for the price. The performance is great.
I totally ignored the crystal wash video and did not know this had the power to decon the coating.
Will absolutely check your video on it. Always a pleasure to tune into your content.
Thank you Jamie!
Man right now I got Ethos Max in the lead followed closely by CCI. The water was flying off that section. Maybe next test you could use a garden hose nozzle that has a shower and mist setting or something to see if you can flood the panels for both the sealants and coatings. Something that would more accurately simulate rain.
Ethos Max appeared to be ahead of the others. The Griots is still quite surprising, and No Hype 1 looks like the best value of any of them.
Thanks for this wonderful update Jamie! I will say it’s a great time to be a detailer with all these outstanding coatings and products!
From a humid climate with nugs and constant rain(Miami), I've been using griots religiously for about a year, and I love it. I stopped to use Ceramic Gloss once and to my circumstances, it didn't last long. (I park outside and drive on the highway nearly every day plus I spilled most of it when applying) I just found that it attracted dust and pollen quicker than griots. Griots is readily available at AutoZone for me, and it's strong. Keeps my car glossy for a while, even when I road trip up and down Florida. Cool to see my theories were right in some regard.
Been enjoying your comparison vids J. Lots of good options and looking forward to the good batch of the AIO…
That Stoner ceramic on the hood looks nice. I have moved my Stoner products up to the top of use list. I use them on my suv and my neighbours cars. 🇨🇦👍👍 Good review.
Alright, you've sold me. I'm gonna pick up a few bottles of No Hype 1! That stuff looks insane for $15 😵
Also, Ethos Max looks pretty damn impressive, as well as CCI. This video was a great one Jamie!
Great update video! Ethos looking stout!!
You telling me I could buy that Griot’s foam canon and teleport to Foam Town USA? What the…
Trying a Graph X/Fat Beads (NoHype3/1) stack with rain dance on the glass on my dad’s truck soon excited to see how it goes. And honestly out of the expensive coatings ethos is looking the best in my opinion and is a 1/3 of the price of C6.
As of now, Ethos Max is definitely the most hydrophobic.
No kidding water was just flying off that thing. Couldn't even get it to stay a little. I feel like so far it goes, Ethos Max, CCI, then C6.
Need a similar test for tire lotions, sealants, shines. Especially for knobby offroad tires
Those glass coating just don’t want to quit
1:09 JIMBO is 👀 very INTERESTED ! 🤣
Wow all of em look pretty good. The ones that stick out to me are the no hype1 and the Griots . Thanks for the update and all the hard work.
Griots versus the heavy hitters🤣
Excellent updates!
Awesome video Jamie!
Not saying it will last the longest but the Ethos Max looked to be repelling the water off much quicker. Good test Jamie and can’t wait to see how they hold up long term.
Spectacular!
I wish that I could get Crystal Wash here in Hawai'i! Good review!!! Just put No Hype 1 on my Rav 4 and am almost past the first 7 days!!!
9:46Yes, Because you're washing a car and recording it 😉😂
DOUBLE WAMMY
This should be a good one!
Another great video, Jamie! I didn't hear it mentioned in the video, but what about surface slickness - how are all of these coatings holding up?
CCI all the way
C6 is good but not worth the $8 billion price tag when the others perform so well
I think the hydrophobics looked better in Mike G’s rinse off of C6, but on that panel Ethos was looking mighty fine.
MikeG did not hold the pressure washer in one spot for an extended time like Jamie did.
@@orthodox1717also Mike's pressure washer is lower flow.
Jamie,
Do a video on Crowne from alchemist. Please
What tip was on the GG Boss pick-up tube... Purple?
Yes purple
They recommend purple for electric pressure washers. I use this too and it gives great foam. Aqua gives a little more foam but I feel like the difference isn’t that much more. And you’ll probably be wasting product.
C6 kind of disappointed honestly when compared to the Ethos and CCI
It's splitting hairs at this point. Time will tell if there are other differences that might tip the scales (self cleaning, resistance to clogging, marring resistance, chemical resistance, etc.)
Any thoughts on Gtechniq coatings?
gree-oats canon right to frostbite head, you REALLY do listen to the fans 😍🐿️💨 lol, i writing this without seeing the results, let’s see what happens 😜
yeah that’s what’s up, thanks for trying it ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽
Random but what exactly does Crystal wash do and when would be best time to use it…like spring with pollen, summer bird crap, winter with salt and road grime etc? Because im blowing thru the gallon i bought because i dont think you can dilute but dont really see or notice what its doing during maintenance/decon washes. Love all ya stuff man
Only need to use about every 6 months
@@JamieTheCleanerthanks! even for a non coated vehicle like mine? Going to apply soft coat 99 fuso coat 12 month wax/sealant soon because i dont have an indoor area to work and dont trust myself doing my first coating outdoors in the sun and humidity
if ethos max is maxed out then i'm wondering how it compares to the ethos pro? is max the new flagship or is pro still elite?
Max is only concerned with being as durable as possible and not ease of use where pro is still a balance of durability and easier install
@@JamieTheCleaner Pro says 10 year and Max says 7 ? Pro is $10 cheaper lol. Doesn't make sense to me but I might try the Pro on the hood of my truck.
C6 looked questionable when flooded
When was it flooded?
@@rooboy99 when he flooded the panel. Holding the fan pattern on it for sustained time to see the water build up
@@NoirSavantI noticed the difference too, but it's a very negligible at this point. I'm more curious to see how they all fare over the long term.
@@jeffc6832 this is true, the lack of hydrophobics in comparison is a slight concern. But what I’m more frustrated with is the fact that their professional grade coating seems much better. “DIY Detail’s” sister company creating a professional grade coating is hysterically hypocritical.
