Goddamn, Erik is a fucking beast of a vocalist. Still killing it on every release. His voice has never let up. Incredible!

Without a doubt! Dude is a torch carrier for sure! Seen Flo-Jet a few times now and he crushes every time as with the rest of the band. One of the most underrated bands around yet top notch.

Those fucking connected bridges...Does Erik even have a break from one register to another? It's the same voice from chest to head and back again which means he likely knows Appoggio. That's one hell of a Diaphragm technique that guys like RJD did and Bruce does!

Hell yeah!Flotsam has not stopped putting out albums and they play in Europe at Hellfest among other festivals there. They also play shows in Phoenix were they all live.

In order to sing with the same tonality no matter where his voice is at in his range is a sure sign he knows Appoggio (the act of leaning the whole 360 degrees of the diaphragm into the lowest ab muscles) just like Bruce and RJD. That's some advanced shit right there!

AK has maintained his unique vocals through all of these years...he's definitely a leader in the field..

I'm at a loss for words, this song is fucking great!! Eric AK is still one of the best ( if not the best ) metal vocalists out there and Ken Mary is killing it on the drums ( definitely top notch ), the song writing is really strong and aggressive and this is the shot in the arm that metal needs

Old Flotsam is my all time fav..
I'd swear Erik's vocals have gotten more powerful with age. Some of the sickest drumming on any Flots track in memory. The bass, the guitars... this is really really great! Looking forward to the rest of the album!
Insane range, low trunk support, pitch, projection and resonance that you don't hear enough of in Thrash! Not to put down Thrash vocals. I mean, Tom has some of these elements in his voice, Billy was trained by the same vocal coach that taught huge names like Sinatra and it shows in his ability to mix registers as easily as most people mix drinks! Joey Belladonna is a thrash god of voice and even his successor, John Bush, deserves a nod. But Erik is the fucking Symphonic Metal voice of Thrash!

I would never have imagined seeing and listening to the same drummer from that album (35 years later!) * after being part of "soft" bands like FITH ANGEL, HOUSE OF LORDS, .... (I like them too, by the way ) ...... Playing at this level of speed / precision, and like a Beast! with a band like FLOTSAM AND JETSAM !!!!
Definitely, all my admiration for the Musical level that KEN MARY (and the rest of the band, of course!) Continues to show many years after its beginnings * I think ERIK's voices are the best I've ever heard him! And I will even say that his singing has evolved incredibly over the years!

One of the best...no doubt about it. If you've been listening to metal for 40 years, then you have undoubtedly heard him before. Fifth Angel, TKO, Chastain, Alice Cooper, Impellitteri, House of Lords, Bad Moon Rising, etc. Ken has quite the resume.

Mal von The Legacy abgesehen find ich die letzten paar Scheiben allesamt besser als die anderen Klassiker-Alben (New Order, Practice und Souls) - welche natürlich auch gut sind, aber gerade bei der Practice versteh ich nicht warum die SO regelrecht gehyped wurde damals...
