The first album, Industrial, has the singer JS's brother Mark on vocals... who took gave up the vocals to concentrate on bass. JS was originally just the backing vocalist.
Does anyone know why he started singing with this whiny American accented voice? I can't find an explanation anywhere online. I guess it was due to throat issues (too painful, etc.) as well as the band wanting a more mainstream sound
Yeah, it's the same guy! I couldn't believe it either at first! Just look at the Triad music video and then this. This band has one of the most interesting evolutions.
I much prefer the newer stuff from the late 90s and early 2000s. Very unique sound. The first album is just lame, but the second album already has a few songs that I really like, To Die is Gain being my favorite. And the third album, Infotainment? is fantastic.
How the hell has this only got 1,400 views?

Tengo este en cd.....pero prefiero los primeros discos (I have this on cd....I prefer their early records instead)
I like their early stuff(first two albums and ep) after that not at all. It's just too mainstream rock/poppy.
